Dec. 30, 2006 - Photos- Christmas and at the RM house
It has been quite some time since I have written. Most of you- my family and friends- know why. For those who do not, I'll make a very long story short. My babies were diagnosed with Twin to Twin Trasfusion, which can be quite a severe disease, and in my case was. I had to make a sudden trip to the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania where I had a fetal laser surgery performed. It went very well and my babies have been improving ever since. I am trusting the Lord that they will continue to thrive until, and after, delivery. I am at high risk for preterm labor, though, and have been on bedrest. Right now, the doctors are thinking of a scheduled c-section for the end of Febuary or beginning of March (I'll be 32-34wks pregnant), which is a month and a half to two months early. But only God knows when my precious little girls will actually make thier entrance!
I wanted to share these photos with you all...taken at the Ronald McDonald house in NJ, which is where we stayed while in PA. This first one shows my little cutie pie Peter sitting in my wheelchair:)

Here is another photo of Peter relaxing in the living room area of the house:

And here I am...I am lying down in all these photos...supposed to rest as much as possible!

We all seem pretty fascinated with something on that TV screen!

Here is my belly shot! Taken at just 23.5 weeks (Christmas day).

Peter enjoying one of his christmas presents...it was given to us by the Ronald McDonald house.

My beautiful Sarah posing in front of our christmas tree!

Here she is again at the RM house:)

One last picture of the four of us watching TV again...actually it was an adorable Little Bear video:)

I hope you all enjoyed the photos...I will be writing a little more as I can. Thanks to all who have been and are praying for us! |

Nov. 20, 2006 - Sonogram 18 weeks
Hi everyone! I had my sonogram this morning. I am 18 weeks along now and already measuring 30cm, which is average for a woman who is 30 weeks along! I have not gained that much weight- about ten to twelve pounds- but look really big! Well, it seems as if I am so big because there is alot of amniotic fluid. I will probably have another sonogram to confirm this, and try to find out why there is so much. But the babies are measuring good and all seems well with them.
Baby B is definately a girl. Baby A (the one closer to my cervix) looks to be a girl also, but this conclusion is not 100% as of now. But the woman who administered the sonogram could only find one placenta, so it does appear the babies are identical. Soooo....it looks like two girls! This is what we have been feeling all along, and already have names chosen for them: Hannah and Abigail. We have been tossing around middle names, but right now we are thinking
Hannah Elisabeth and Abigail Annaliese.
Roderick will probably be able to scan the sonogram pictures tomorrow at work, so check back later in the day! |

Nov. 18, 2006 - Recent Photos
We developed some pictures today, so I thought I'd share with you all! All three of these were taken at our new home, which we moved into about two and a half weeks ago.
This first picture, taken in our kitchen, captured an adorable and fun moment! Both of our dc were holding onto their daddy's legs as he swiftly walked, dragging them across the smooth kitchen floor. The children loved this, especially Peter!
In our new home, we finally (first time in the five years we have been married) have a dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. You can see the white dishwasher behind the "human mops" and our washing machine/dryer (stacked) is directly behind the kitchen table. The kitchen is bigger than it looks on this photo:) I am so thankful for all of it!

This photo was taken outside on our deck. The deck is also bigger than what is seen on this photo. There is more to the deck behind where I am standing taking the picture. It is an L shaped deck, so what is seen on this photo is some of the wide part, while behind me is the longer part which leads to our side kitchen door.

Here are the children having fun throwing leaves in the air! Behind them you can see our new van. We have not had a car in about three years, but God has also graciously provided this van for us last month!

I have not taken pictures of the inside of our home much yet, as I still have more boxes I want to finish unpacking first! But I will probably have some to share on here sometime during the week or next weekend.
Check back tomorrow and Monday though! Tomorrow I will share another entry with a few pics of my precious children. On Monday, I am having a sonogram and will probably find out the sexes of these babies inside me. If I do, I will share the results as soon as I find out! So keep checking back everyone! |

Nov. 12, 2006 - Sarah's 4th Birthday
This past August, Sarah turned four. My own fourth birthday left me with very wonderful memories. As a present, I was given a beautiful white dress. I remember admiring it before even wearing it. I just loved that pure white dress! I decided that I would like to begin a family tradition this year in which my daughters all wear a white dress on their fourth birthdays. It was not easy to find a comfortable, cotton dress (as opposed to one with much frills), but I finally ordered one from The King's Daughters. Here is little Sarah in her birthday dress:

Here I am on my fourth birthday, in my white dress.

Sarah had a very nice birthday party. I made a cake for her to look like a castle, since she is a princess:) By the look on her face, I think I can assume she liked it!

Here is Sarah blowing out her candles.

This photo of Sarah and Peter was taken on her birthday, before her party. I made the collage that is behind them as a way to share Sarah's life in pictures.

I thought you all would enjoy this video also! My sister, Judith, had a birthday coming up three days after Sarah's, so I surprised her with an icecream cake too!
Just make sure you turn up your volume before watching this. I had to turn mine up as high as it goes.
