Time to get down to business

The holidays have finally ended.I am ready to get back down to business around here.  Today is DH's last day off from work so I know we won't do any school.  Instead we will just enjoy our time with him watching football.

Alabama plays their bowl game today...Roll Tide!!

My Goals for today are:

Make any needed changes to our schedule (our warm weather and cold weather schedules are not the same).

Pull together needed materials for school this week.

Get my menu plan and fitness plan in place.

Work on creating a better chocolate pound cake recipe than the one I have,  it's for the wedding cake order.

Climb Mount Wash More....(get the Laundry done)

Root for Alabama to win their bowl game.

Thats it for todays plan...

Our visit  yesterday with the in-laws went fast.  They only stayed for about 45 minutes...(They drove 3 hours to stay 45 minutes) long enough for a cup of coffee, some small talk, and the presents....a cornucopia of guilt.

I hope everyones week gets off to a good start!

Hi Tara,
Thanks for looking at my new blog. I'm just getting used to this and you're the first reply I've tried.
Which suburb of Adelaide does your penpal come from? I'd love to visit the USA one day.
I enjoyed reading your 50 things. I read "The Purpose Driven Life" two years ago and found some chapters very thought provoking. Maybe I should read through it again this year.
By the way, your cakes look fantastic.
Please drop by my blog again and I'll do the same to yours.

I'm new to Homeschoolblogger, but not necessarily a newbie to the blogging world. I thought I'd stop in and say Hello, and let you know that you're not the only one who needs some structure. After all the Christmas holidaying, I need to get behind this homeschooling machine and give it a push.
I homeschool my four children, and have homeschooled now for 8 years. The hardest part of homeschooling for me is to keep the momentum going all the time. My role in the family seems to always be "The Initiator", a very tiring role.
I hope your little one is feeling better soon, and will pray that your husband gets the job you're hoping for. Blessings.
