Planning Ahead

 

 

I am working on my plans for next year.  I am satisfied with what I have in place for my high schooler.   This is what she will be doing

 

Algebra 1- taken at local resource for homeschoolers.

English 2 Honors- taken at a local resource for homeschoolers.

 

Photography- This is a certificate program through the community college.

 

Hebrew- Rosetta Stone if I can ever get there page to come up.

 

The Joy of Science- from The Great Courses.. this is just lectures I will have to assign papers, labs, test and exams

Great World Religions- same as above

The Old Testament- same as above

The New Testament- same as above

 

I haven't quite gotten the schedule for my youngest finished but I am toying with

 

Math- Saxon 7/6

Language Arts- Undecided- Anyone got good advice for 7th Grade L.Arts?

Science- Undecided - Co-op or..

History- Undecided - Co-op or...

Art- Undecided Co-op or DVD

Sign Language- Online or through software

Tennis

 

 

I'm worn out already....:-)

WOW! way to plan ahead. I'm doing good just to plan for the week...and I have 2 children under the age of 6. GOOD FOR YOU!

Congratulations on being so organized. DS and I started looking at our state graduation requirements and the entry requirements at NC State. I think we are going to have to go with an in-state school. When they are in high school, planning is a bit scarier. We have to start with a foreign language. DH speaks German and I speak Greek, but sitting down and actually teaching it is a whole different ball game. I hope you'll blog more about your high school plans, I know I"m going to need advice and encouragement!
