following on from what I wrote earlier, we are trying something new this evening. Namely, Callum going to bed at the same time as dh. I just hope he doesn't get disturbed too much (dh, not Callum!)
Anyway, this will hopefully free up my time a little and allow me to sort out my priorities and spend more time in thought and worship.
Today I have downloaded, what we in the household call our "God Songs". Basically they are contemporary Christian based songs, which both myself and the children adore listening to. I have put my favourites (only about 30 or so
) on to my MP3 player, and am going to use them to begin my focus on the Lord. I hope that this will then lead me into prayer and worship.
I'm going to get off the computer now and start as I mean to go on...

I've been away from the computer for awhile, so was excited to stop by and see how you were doing with your new faith adventure! Sounds like things are going so well, and you are starting to find yourself and your faith again.
You might want to check out http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Kellyque777 She has a "read through the Bible in one year" plan posted, and lots of ladies from this blogsite are joining in and trying to be accountable to each other and getting it done! I really messed up last year when my dd was in the hospital, but hope to do better again this year.
I'm especially glad to hear that you are not afraid or ashamed to show your faith in action to your dh. Wouldn't it be wonderful if he sees a permanent change in your attitude and changes his mind about Christianity?
I sure understand about how hard it is to find a good church to attend. We are going through that again, still, yet... I just don't feel like we "belong" anywhere we have gone, and neither do my ds and dh. So we continue looking. The best fit is where my dd and her dh attend, but it is nearly 1 1/2 hours away. It would be impossible to really become a part of things, but I LOVE their church, and they make us feel such a part of things when we visit. *sigh*
Keep up the good work, and drop by and see me when you get a chance!

What wonderful goals you have! I cannot imagine serving the Lord without my husband's belief. I will pray for you today. I am proud of your efforts to put God first in your life. Way to go!

Just caught up with many posts I had missed. Lovely! I am so happy to hear you are no longer embarrassed about your faith with your husband. You never know what may come of that...

Jan. 12, 2006 - Christian reading
Posted by Emma
Hi Jules :-)
I've got a nice little book here called 'But don't all religions lead to God?' by Michael Green.
It's a good book on Christianity. You may have already read it, but if not and you would like to borrow it please just ask.
It's very thought-provoking and was sent to me by one of my best friends who is a very devout Christian, and enjoys theological discussions with me.
Anyway, I hope all is going well. You certainly seemed contented when I saw you last.
Hugs x
