My thoughts on American Idol this week
Worst outfit: Tie between Ramiele and Paula.
Best Outfit: There really wasn’t one. I guess maybe Kristy’s shirt. Maybe she missed the “let’s only wear drab black and gray this week” memo.
Best performance: David Cook
Bottom three: Ramiele, Chikezie, and Syesha. Ramiele will be going home.
What was Paula wearing? She should fire her stylist. I just imagine what she’d say: “You shine like all the colors and textures of the universe. You are truly a star. Your voice has all the tones of a rainbow…” Somewhere around here she would lose her train of thought, and, well, you can see why her lucky stylist still has a job. Actually, I’m quite sure that she and Ramiele share a stylist. The high waisted, wide on the leg shorts not only make your butt look taller, but they also make it wider. As for her singing, she’s got a nice voice, but how about performing a little bit, moving around the on the stage or something.
The Jonas Brothers had better watch out, they may have some competition on their hands with David Archuleta. He should go for a Disney Channel career. Every ten-year-old girl in
It was probably Michael’s best performance so far. For once I remember what he sang the next day. I’m still mixing him up with Luke, who left weeks ago. My advice for Michael: stop singing and just talk for your minute and a half. Carly could do the same, although she’s growing on me, and I thought she was pretty good last night. (By the way, what happened to her adorable curly hair?)
Brooke, David Cook, and Jason have my top three spots. It was not Brooke’s best performance last night though. I didn’t like the black dress, or the straight haired look, but at least her bangs weren’t in her eyes. Personality wise, she’s probably my favorite contestant. Jason hasn’t been as good the last few weeks either. I agreed with some of what the judges said. He can be just a little too laid back, and he needs to try something different. And also if I were him, I wouldn’t mention that I should practice more. I’d also like to see him perform with his hair down, instead of that girly style they usually have it in. David was amazing. And so much better than the Michael Jackson original. If it was up to me, he’d win right now.
Kristy picked the perfect song, but it was still not half as good as some of the other performers. Unfortunately, it was good enough to keep her in another week. Cute shirt though.
I liked Syesha at first, like
I’m undecided on Chikezie. He’s had a couple great weeks, and couple awful weeks.
The whole judges-and-Ryan bickering thing is getting so old. It was funny at first, but now it’s just plain annoying. And audience, could you please stop booing Simon and let him talk! He’s almost always right. You pretty much have to ignore Paula, because not a word she says makes sense, and she loves everyone. And Randy, well, I think he was having an off night last night.
