Dolly Parton Week

Dolly Parton week was pretty good overall. I don’t know much of Dolly’s music, and country isn't really my thing, but I’m a fan of her as a person. I always appreciate someone that can make fun of themselves. I also love her as Miley’s godmother on Hannah Montana.

Brooke’s best hair style ever. I’ve got to figure out how to do that to mine. Also a good performance. She remains one of my favorites. Not crazy about the high-waisted pants though. I think if you're going to wear them, you may as well go all the way, and make a dramatic, "I'm wearing high-waisted pants!" sort of a statement, or they just look like an accident.

David Cook great as always. Not much more to say.

Ramiele: bizarre song choice. Her voice didn’t come over the music, the dancing was stupid. Once again a hideous high-waisted outfit. Maybe some outfits with color sometime.

 Not Jason’s best performance, but not bad. I think he was wearing a woman’s shirt, and I still would like to see something different with the hair. The half pullback is girly.

 Carly, get out of the dark colors girl! The black satin is getting old. A boring performance. As Simon would say, “Forgettable.”

 Yet another inspiring, uplifting song from David. And of course he has such a glorious aura about him; (thank you, Paula for these wonderful words) it makes up for his boring performance. Personally in my bottom three this week, but he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

 Kristy Lee-way to go on the dress and bare feet. Always love the hair. Kristy gets best dressed this week. One of her better performances, country is definitely her style, but still in my bottom three.

 Syesha should’ve kept it simple not brought in the band so much at the end. Also not my style of song. The dress made me think of ketchup and mustard. Maybe she could go sing for Oscar Meyer. Also in the bottom three. Simon’s comments on Syesha were about the only ones I agreed with last night.

 Michael Johns’s best performance ever. The first time I will remember one of his performances. Keeping it to just he piano and guitar was a good choice.

 Simon is clearly too British to like country music. Paula continues to babble about things that don’t make any sense, and if she only comments on your outfit, you know you sucked. Also, could she get the hair out of her face. Randy’s vocabulary seems to be limited to “Check it out!” and “Good looking out” these days. You can also tell by the end of the show that the producers are telling everyone to wrap it up, because Ryan starts talking like he’s just had about 8 lattes.

 Best outfit: Kristy

Worst outfit: Syesha or Ramiele. It might be a tie.

Best performance: David Cook or Michael

Worst performance: Ramiele

Best hair: Brooke

Most confusing comment: Paula

Fastest talker: Ryan

Bottom three: Syesha, Ramiele, Kristy. Ramiele is going home.

Omg, I love American Idol. Unfortunately we do not get FOX anymore cause of our satelite. =( Sad Day...I miss that show alot.
