We are trying to get back into our school routine after being off routine for about 3 weeks. It is so hard to do after such a long break. I also have SAD(Seasonal Affective Disorder) for all of January and February each year. It takes a lot to get me motivated during these months to get things accomplished. I guess it is a good thing we are only at the Kindergarten level and that our ds in kindergarten is already ahead for his age.
I get frustrated that I can't get motivated. We did school on Monday but Tuesday and Wednesday I "hid out" online all day. I really need some motivation and a good push to get me going!!
That's all folks. Just wanted to express some thoughts!

Sorry to hear about your SAD. I get melancholy this time of year, but I don't think it's SAD, but it is harder to get motivated. Everything is just cold and dreary. Luckily, you have a few years to figure out your rhythm when it comes to homeschooling. Maybe you could try a non traditional school year and take several weeks off in Jan and Feb, then go a little longer in the summer or something. Hope you feel better soon.
What a lovely blog you have! This is my first time visiting. I am sorry about the SAD - so many get that in the winter months. Have you considered taking a walk outside each day? They say that helps so much.... unless of course you live in the grey northwest, where there is no sun at all outside! I am from the seattle area and I recall how grey it is in the winter months!
I suffer from SAD as well. Studies link it to a lack of Vitamin D. I take Vitamin D drops during this season. It helps me tons. You might want to try it.
