Psalm of the Week: Philippians 2:1-4
March 22, 2008
He is risen indeed!

Happy Easter!!!

A few months ago, Becca and I decided that growing up was fun. It’s pretty hard too, but I guess I wouldn’t have it any other way. Growing up means:

♠Realizing I have been going to the same church since before my J.H.ers were born

♠Eating ice-cream for breakfast

♠Coming home from school to left-over hardboiled eggs to dye. (Coloring eggs is not as much fun   by yourself…)

♠Opting against sponge curlers

♠Walking outside the crosswalk without a permission slip

♠Canceling a shopping date so I can honestly say I have no plans

♠Realizing that honesty is not as simple as I’d thought

♠Driving to L.A. and going to Disneyland with only Kathryn and Krista (and therefore being the most responsible and mature person in the group)

♠Teaching my little sister’s Sunday School class

Never making my bed… ever!

Filling up an entire photo album

Eating cereal and driving a stick shift at the same time (that’s fun)

Making up my own recipes

P.S. Elder Jargon. I can do it too☺! Sometimes people surprise me with their cleverness, like Kirsten.

Here is a random photo (which has nothing to do with Easter, growing up, elder jargon or Kirsten - that is what makes it random):

I know what the random photo is. James did his Eagle Scout Project Saturday, and you were the official photographer. I think that's Kody doing the groundbreaking for the sprinkler system at the Fed church. That's a good picture.
When did you eat ice cream for breakfast?
I'm sorry for all those sleepless nights in the sponge curlers.
Dates are tricky. I like mine short brown and pitted.
I thought your bed WAS made. Are you just pulling up the comforter???
It's not really easy watching you grow up either. But it is fun. I love you.

March 25, 2008 - I got here safely - in case you were pulling out your hair over your lack of security in my driving skills.

I didn't leave a comment on the last post, so my double U thing is "Wook! I'm Wimwue! Da Wady of da Wake!" . . . Thought you would enjoy some fun memories. (Wook I'm a Waffle!)

Now as to this post, dearest darling Jessica, I'm glad you don't wear sponge curlers; I'm SO glad we are old enough not to need our permission slips to go outside the crosswalk and be scandalous; I resent the snide remark about my responsibility! I may not be as totally mature as you dear, but sometimes I am responsible!; I faked my mom out for years about making my bed when I had the top bunk.

When I got here yesterday I parked quickly ( and in a tow-away parking spot, gasp!), ran upstairs to the kitchen and put my milk and eggs in the fridge. Then I ran downstairs and drove to the Theatre where I worked non-stop running around crazy from 2:30 till 1:30 the next morning! I just emphatically hit the space bar! I don't care if that word does not fit the sentence, this is going to be a long, hard week! Whew!

I've taught my little sister's Sunday school class! Pretty... interesting. JK, it was fun!
The most fun parts about growing up seem to be the times when you allow yourself to act like a kid! I did that Friday...whew! I haven't run, rolled, and spun like that in, like, 2 years! *gasp*

April 1, 2008 - Hey. I'm leaving you another comment. So here it is.

I hate sleeping on wet hair. As I type I am propped up on pillows in my bed while my hair is fanned out behind me trying to dry after taking a soak in the shower. I have one of those fake double chins people get when looking down funny. Attractive, no?
So I thought I would be home about a week earlier than I actually will be. Too bad.
My eyes hurt and I'm tired.
I think I should put more pictures on my blog. If only I knew how . . . how . . . pathetic . . .
I want to go on a roller coaster. Like at Magic Mountain.
I watched Josie and the Pussycats for the first time today. Charlie from Kate and Leopold is in it! He's hilarious (said with a D.T high sing-song to it).
My lips hurt real bad and I'm going to put some chapstick on. The problem is I don't want to get out of bed. . . .oh where is my chapsitck?
I should build a shelf into my wall within reach that I can put my chapstick on. Good idea.
If you can't tell, I'm just running on while I eagerly await the drying of my hair. Which is dead, by the way. Hair is dead when it comes out of the scalp - and I should stop before I embarrass you/me/everyone who knows me. Good night Seek!
