Psalm of the Week: Psalm 45
April 20, 2008
Remember me and Teddy Roosevelt?

They are watching 'Newsies' in the other room. That is one of my favorite movies. Buy me last pape' lady? I like the visual style of the movie. The sets and the blocking work so well together. I like musicals. I don't care that Christian Bale can't sing at all. Let 'em laugh in my face, I don't care!

My parents are going on a cruise next weekend and my mom has threatened to take the curling iron and the flat iron. Not threatened, stated. I'm cold, I think I'll go find some socks... Now I look like Susanna in my skiing socks. They are more like wool slippers that go up to your knees, but I like them. Anyway, while my parents are crusin,' Kirsten and I are going to repaint our living room. Well, Kirsten is going to. I'll help. I think the room will look a million times better after it's been painted (and after the popcorn ceiling is scraped off, the pictures on the walls are redone, one of the bookcases moved into a different room and we change the whole color scheme...) You're right Kelly, brains.

Becca F., I'm still really mad she broke our mugs yesterday. I'm usually really bad at that kind of stuff, but mine actually looked pretty good. I think I might stop by the dollar store tomorrow and get myself a new one.

I need to sit down and write a speech for a final I have on Tuesday. I think I would need more than six minutes to convince my audience that werewolves exist, but it's true. How can I be sure the Delanskis stink? It's just the way things are.

'Seize the Day,'
reprise. I love it. Dale Torres says that girls sing better than guys. He's wrong.

Mrs. Hector, I really liked having you (and everybody) over last Monday. I miss you guys. I don't think I'll ever use your cell phone again. "I'm calling on behalf of your mother. Are you drowned in the canal?" Thomas and Matthew, I wouldn't even have made it past Gustine. You have my applause.

It's really adorable when Brian sings 'King of New York.' He really thinks he is the king of New York. Proud get humble. (I love the Newsies! I had just sung that part of the song ∞Rachel
) Hey Rachel! Get your own blog, just kidding. Sorry for leaving you today. Dan Stoppe is funny.

Okay, I think I'm warmed  up enough to go write my speech. Maybe I'll try to prove that the world is round. The professor said we could speak to a hypothetical audience. That would be fun, but I'll probably be boring and talk about Title IX or Spanking or
Vegetarianism. Sorry for the length and boringness of this post. It's this brain of mine. It's always making mistakes. It has a mind of it's own.

Jessica

P.S. I wanted to put an excerpt from Psalm 25 here, but I'm having a hard time picking just one part. So you have to read the whole thing on your own.

The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.

I love that movie! The other day Sarah and I were singing "king of new york" and couldn't remember all the words. So we found it online and sang the rest of it!

ONE MORE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How did the painting go? Oh! I forgot to say I was the FIRST COMMENTER!!!! I love how we have to point the fact out, even though it is quite obvious . . .

Charlie Brown was a laughable affair that ended very, very badly. Our version was MUCH better. Marian made me wear the heels she gave me and I've never worn anything that tall out in public before. We even went to the mall afterward and I was freaked out I would fall "SPLAT!" in the middle of walking around. I passed the shoe test, however, and never even slipped! (Yeah me!)

On Saturday night we had a slumber party in Biz and Cayla's room. They slept on their beds and me, Sarah and Lauren slept cozy (but hard) on the floor. We watched a movie then talked then watched the Mummy 'cause no one had seen it except for me and Sarah. I fell asleep before it ended, but thought of you . . . and Lucas and Cameron! "Lucas! If you don't stop talking I'm going to tackle you!" (Cameron)
Were you even there?
We went to a mexican store the other day that reminded me of being in Mexico and I bought yummy bread . . . hmm soo good!

I hope that by the time this comment is over I'll still be the first, if not I'm not going to change it - just so you know.
Adios amiga!

April 21, 2008 - Musicals...

Posted by Jeremiah2913

I know - I always sit there with my pencil hovering over my paper for a least five minutes before I write something.... then earase it.... then write something else... etc., etc., etc..... lol...

Personally, I don't really like muicals. They're telling a story, then they have to stop and sing about it, too....
The only musical I've found that I like is 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.' It's kinda stupid.... but it's funny. Have you ever seen it?

You have a great day!! Blessings, Erica

Hehe... I have part of the Seven Brides for Seven Brothers Soundtrack on my iPod. :D Lol... I don't really listen to it that much.

I absolutely LOVE summer camp. When I'm to old to go as a camper, I'd like to work there. It's so much fun! And the preaching is always awesome!

You have a great day! God Bless, Erica

I thought you might like these sayings:

God gave us two ends to use
One to sit with and one to think with;
The war depends on which we use,
Heads we win, tails we lose.
-Posted on a billboard during WWII

"Modern man worships at the temple of science,
but science tells him only what is possible, not what
is right"
-President Dwight Eisenhower

How'd your speech go? I'm really sorry you and Kirsten aren't coming up Friday. Your Mom will be happy with the living room.

I look like Ben with my hand in the air, but I'm healing. Good thing I wasn't wearing heels like Kat, I slipped in tennis shoes!

'tell your Mom to have fun!!

Love & Blessings, Mrs.H

April 30, 2008 - The world IS round...

Posted by Mr. R

So I am trying something new - to be the LAST posting instead of the first - cool huh! although it's hard to sit back and wait 'til you think all have posted and then move in for the attack (I'm working on it)
So regarding your speech topic (which you have obviously already completed since I am the last to post) The world IS round, no matter where you go or how far you go you never fall off, how else can you explain it, although I must admit the visual of being out in space and looking back from the space capsule seeing a square or rectangular Earth is very intriguing!

Well, I'm just rambling on only for the sole purpose of being the last to post a comment - how am I doing?? wait please don't answer that then I won't be the last post...
