Psalm of the Week: Psalm 45
May 11, 2008
For All Gentle Thought

The Tooman's kitchen is a good place for singing. I've spent the past two days in that kitchen and I've sung just about every song I know. Well, that's not true. Rachel says we didn't sing Glorious One. I don't know the words to that song, so it doesn't count.

I've never fallen asleep in church before. But I was pretty close today.

What's your favorite kind of ice cream? Toppings or no toppings?

I got out of school two weeks ago, but everybody else I know is still in school for another week or two. Except for Kat. I'm glad she is home. We went out to breakfast on Tuesday at Blues. Yay bagels! I brought a tea pot and some fun china and we had a little tea party right there at Blues. Why is "bagel" spelled like that?

Rachel, can you play "For the Beauty of the Earth" on the piano? Okay, let's go try it then.

Jessica

P.S. Yes Rachel, this is short.

P.S. If anyone has any nominations for the Psalm of the week, let me know.

Posted by Mr. Reynolds

wow, I'm still only the second post and it's been a week since you posted (I gave up on trying to be the last), where is everybody? it's not as if everyone has been busy or something...

So I decided to touch on every topic in your post, here goes:
1. I thought you were asleep in church...
2. Favorite ice cream (if I could eat it): mint choco chip
Topping (if I could have one): none
3. I was out of school before everyone
4. I'm glad Kat is home too (although she still has never said hi at church)
5. Bagel should be spelled "Baygul"

There ya go, I have to admit I am soooo talented and witty!!

May 19, 2008 - Doing My Part

Posted by Mr. Reynolds

Ok, so I have cruised through everyone's blog and still no posts! Well I'm going to do my part and post something.

Although not related to the subject l am following-up on the weird conversation I had with you at the Linger Longer/Mexico Fundraiser extravaganza lunch thingy...
The pictures I was supposed to look at were the the ones of Krista (a binder chock full of photos) and of James (graduation?) Mrs. Reynolds said you did an awesome job and that I should take a look - so see I wasn't losing it and making up some silly subject for conversation...

Hmmm, favorite ice cream?

Currently, coffee flavored ice cream with Heath Bar toffee bits mixed in. Depending on the day, you can throw in some coffee liqueur, reese's cups (the baby ones), caramel, hershey's syrup, whipped cream, or a shot of mocha (yum!). Usually only one at a time. I normally take just the coffee and the heath bar, though. The rest is largely fantasy :D

Also, I'm leaving for a volunteer project in Guatemala in a week. I will be there for two months doing development work. If you wouldn't mind, it would be awesome if you could pray for me while I'm there!
In similar vein, are you all going on any mission trips this year?

I hope that you enjoy your summer!! Same to you, Rachel! And the rest of the family, of course.

Love,

Ashley

May 20, 2008 - Favorite ice cream

Posted by mom2two

That is a tough one. I did work at Swensen's for a while during college and I even looked like I ate ice cream everyday!

I really like pumpkin ice cream (really good pumpkin ice cream, not the cheap stuff) with marshmallow topping and pecans. It is scrumptious!!

Mrs. Reynolds :o)
