Psalm of the Week: Psalm 45

A Pretty Little Wilderness

I can’t think of a favorite Christmas song. There are different things to like about songs, like the lyrics, the sound and the performance. Favorites are hard. Christmas shopping is hard. I need some protein (like maybe a taco).

Just because one is bad at something doesn’t mean one is good at the opposite of that something. And sometimes opposites are not really opposite but complimentary. I’m not very good at talking or listening.

One thing I do for fun is inform Mrs. Loughman of all the semi-scandalous things I do (like reading Harry Potter), so she can be shocked and scold me. I hope it doesn’t bother her. She’s one of the greatest people ever and I want her to be proud of me.

What are fun things to do for exercise in the winter (in the cold)? I’m not that fond of exercise to begin with, but I know I need it (bad). Maybe I’ll take a PE class. Yoga might be fun… (not).

I wanted to read a lot during my Christmas break. But I’m working every day of the week now and I don’t seem to have much more time than I did while I was in school. But I’ll make time. I need to make time to read my Bible and I want to make some time to read other “God books.” And I may start the second Harry Potter book. Maybe.

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” -A.W. Tozer

Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation…

Heb 5:8-9

December 20, 2008 - Harry?

Please don't read any more Harry Potter. I read some of your book and it was just as I expected. I did not like it. It makes something very wrong seem fun, fake and harmless. Hope you got an A in your Childrens Lit class though...
