Life along The Way with the V's | |
Ever have one of those weeks??It all started with Copper the dog running away and getting caught by the SPCA. We rescued the dog and bailed him out of jail. E got his first tooth, finally!! :) D got three wigglies on the bottom of her mouth. She is very excited! Soon she will be smiling her wonderful big smile with a big hole in it. R ripped the upstairs bathroom out completely. We have a new bathroom on the way and no bathtub! Then I finally got together with my good friend and while we were walking and talking and enjoying our ice cream somehow R's keys fell out of my pocket. These keys are $300 keys because they have a microchip. The problem is that I already lost one set of keys. I feel so horrible. I have no idea how they fell out but they did and I feel awful. So that was my week in a nut shell as usual good and not so good mingled together. Blessings
Life at the Big V house!!!Well several things to report. E man turned 1!! Hard to believe our baby is one already!! HE's getting into lots and starting to do all the toddler type stuff. He loves music like no other of our children has ever loved it. He immediately responds to music he likes and "dances". It is SO cute! HE is also an avid drummer. He actually drums. It is really amazing. Maybe we will get a prodigy child after all??
D taught herself to ride a 2 wheeler. She is VERY proud of herself.
Things are moving ahead with C. CAS is moving froward with a motion to make C a crown ward no access with the intention of adoption. We'll see what happens. They have put a request out to family to see if anyone will come forward. I can't picture that at this point but we'll see what God has planned for her. I *know* that He is in control and I am trusting Him completely with her as we have seen His hand move mightily up to now. We believe that she will be ours, however are preparing ourselves in the event God has different plans.
I am speaking at church on Sunday morning for Mother's Day. I am feeling a little nervous about it to be honest. God certainly is stretching us in many ways right now. We have been asked to take over a minstry in the church that is very BIG and are very prayerfully considering it and asking God for direction. We will be speaking with our pastor to let him know what our intentions would be should we take this role. IF God wants us there then we want to follow regardless of our "feelings" about it. I seems rather daunting at times and big. God is full or surprises!
So that is all for now Blessings
What's new...Well my little E man has started crawling everywhere. He is getting into stuff all the time too. He has found the tupperware and pots and pans. He can pull himself up onto his knees at the coffee table and grab stuff. He looks so cute crawling on his little hands and knees. He is so sweet. His personality is so sweet natured. When he is doing something that he is really enjoying he makes this high pitch little squeal. It is so cute. We are still fighting for C. Things are happening although I can't get into specifics. We believe that God is her defender and that things are going to work out for her best. We are involved in a big science fair. The kids have made a automatic fire escape ladder. It is really cool, the ladder flies out when a pull station is pulled and emergency lights come on. It is really good. They can win money so they are hopeful that theirs will be good enough to win something. They have worked on it hard with dear ole dad. :)
Life is of course full and pretty good! That's all for now! Blessings~~~
Busy...Well life just seems to be getting busier and busier. I feel like I have no time to do anything but work. I spend most of my days filled from morning to night. I am really in need of a quiet peaceful fun day. I have made some commitments lately that are not really all that time consuming however taking my mental energy. The girls have been busy and a little grumpy. Winter blues. The older kids have so many events that require me to drive, hockey games and practices, ballet classes, badminton, friends, floor hockey etc etc. Then of course, school and church and life. And unexpected things like doctors appointments and CAS workers and vets. And then housework and laundry, oh the laundry is especially fun and exciting! I am tired. I just want a day with no running around, no appointments, no work. Holiday anyone??? R has been very busy too which doesn't help. Somedays feel like they will never end, today is one of them. Ready for sleep, at 7pm...yawn~~~ Blessings~~~
LaelIt has been 6 years since our sweet baby Lael went home to play at Jesus' feet. Remembering Lael today.
Warm summer sun, shine friendly here. Warm western wind, blow kindly here. Green sod above, rest light , rest light. Good-night Lael. Sweetheart good-night. Written by Mark Twain (name changed for Lael)
