First Blog

Well HI everyone! I signed up on Homeschool Blogger a couple of weeks ago but haven't written until now. I am not sure really what to say as we don't have much excitement around.....well thats not really true but it has been a little dull lately. I figured I would start out by introducing myself..... My name is Fawn and I am happily married for 8 years now. We have 2 children, my son Michael 7 and daughter Casey Rose 19months. We live on a small farm if you can really call it that. I don't really think of it as a farm but most people who visit do. We have 4 horses, cattle 2 dogs, a menagerie of cats, some chickens, a hog and whatever else we decide to collect that day. Right now we are bottle feeding 2 calves. This is our first year homeschooling, my son is in the second grade. He went the first 2 years in a public school. I wish I would have listened to that little voice inside me called the "Holy Spirit" and homeschooled him from the beginning but I didn't and thats okay.....at least I figured it out! I really enjoy reading everyones blog and love learning about the different ways you teach your children. I am reading up on the Charlotte Mason method and incorporating only a little bit right now as that is not how we started out. Next year though I hope to be able to do the full Charlotte. Well that gets me starteed anyway right. Looking forward to hearing from you and reading your blogs as well!
