Music writing... new discovery!!!
Hi ya'll... you know how I loooove writing music? All that just got better! If figured out a better way to do it!!! Well, to start out, I don't like listening to just 'a song' it has to have a story to go with it, otherwise, its boring. So... sadly, all of the songs I have ever wrote, where the latter I'm afraid. (Which means they didn't have a story :-) So, today, Hannah and Patti where being goofy annoying, and telling this wierd story about a dog. Inspired as usuall, I wrote a soundtrack to it. Random? Yes. Weird? No. A 'Katy-like' thing to do? definitly. the catch is that it didn't turn out very well- just made it easier to write :-) All you 'Nano-Wrimo' writers, it really helps to write your own soundtrack.. If you listen to someone elses, t doesn't have the effect. Everyone has there own song, and it annoys me when they never write it!!! Sorry- I'm getting carried away here... So yeah. It really helps to write your own soundtrack. I figured out why all my songs are depressing. depressing person- depressing stories- depressing music. Oay... I am starting to ramble... (Toni says all my posts are ramblings... I don't care. :-) So, get inspired! Write an orchestral arrangment for your book! Have I inspired you? I doubt it. Oh well. I tried :-)
