Here we go!

Okay!  I'm going to do this blog thing!  I've really enjoyed reading a few others so I thought I'd give it a try myself.  Oooh, I'm so brave!

Here's a little bit about us: My name is Jennifer and my husband is John.  We just celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary.  (Am I really getting that old?)  We have 2 kiddos, Taylor who is 7 years old and Isaac who is 2 years old.  We've been homeschooling since the beginning.  Our school is called Fields of Harvest Academy.  We put a lot of thought and prayer into our school name.  We wanted it to be a statement of our beliefs.  Here's why we decided on this particular name-

As a family we truly have a heart for missions and evangelism.

In John chapter 4 it says: Do you not say, `There are still four
months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up
your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for
harvest!
and

In Matthew chapter 9 it says: Then He said to His disciples, "The
harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray
the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

It will be a reminder of the commission God has set before us to
bring souls into the Kingdom and introduce them to their Savior who
loves them passionately. I want to be a laborer in His harvest!

On another note, it is a reminder that we will reap what we sow.
This is a principle useful in all areas of life. Not the least in
raising and schooling our children. What a sobering and exciting
thought! God, give me wisdom for the task before me!
