Ohio State Football

Posted in Home Life

My husband, John, went out this morning to meet with an insurance agent about fixing a roof.  He had met with another agent before, but was meeting one of the big dawgs today.  Imagine his surprise when the man was John Cooper.

For those of you who do not recognize this name (like myself), John Cooper was the previous coach of the Buckeyes.  John called me just a bit ago to tell me.  He was sooooo excited.  It really made his day.  John got Mr. Cooper's autograph and Mr. Cooper asked for John's address so he could send him a hat or jersey or something.  John has got to be the biggest Ohio State football fan I've ever seen.  As a matter of fact, just this weekend he bought matching Ohio State sweatshirts for the kids.  Now they can all where their Ohio State shirts together.

GO BUCKEYES!!!!!

OK BLECK!!

Of course being from WV I HATE the Buckeyes but I do have one good thing to say about them. I don't know if you know this but my grandfather passed away in the Ohio University Medical Center. The James Cancer Center to be exact. While he was there some of the Buckeye players stopped by and gave him an autographed football and schedule poster. I was really impressed at how these young men took the time to visit the people in the hospital and talk to them and their families. A couple of them even wrote scriptures by their names. So while I still don't care for the Buckeyes(my grandfather was also a HUGE WVU Mountaineer fan) I think they have some really good young men on their team and it is a good thing that they do taking time out to visit these termanally ill patients. PS you can tell John I also met the Current Buckeye coach when I was at the hospital with Pappa. Sorry for the long comment.
