Yesterday at co-ops we finally took another group picture of the kids. Our group has grown so much since our last picture.

Closer to the end of the year, we are going to making yearbooks for everyone. I can't wait. I'll be sure to blog about how we do it and show you some pictures once we get it done.
In Taylor's Maya class this week the kids learned how to do Mayan math and how to write their names using the Mayan glyphs. Then they got to make a codex (Mayan book) to practice in. Here is a good website to learn about the Mayan number system. We only did numbers up to 19. In the Maya system the number one is represented by a dot and the number five is represented by a short horizontal line. They count from the bottom up. So the number seven would be a line with 2 dots above it. The number thirteen would be 2 lines with 3 dots above them.
Some of the kids really surprised me with how easily they picked this up. Especially when you consider they are only 5-7 years old. Other ones did great with the glyphs, really paying attention to detail.
Here is Taylor with her codex.

This is Taylor and her friend. They were so funny this week. He showed Taylor his muscle and she looked on in amazement.

I didn't get to go to the Body Class, but another Mom took some pictures for me.
