What!? A blog about us? Hmmm, this could be interesting.

Operation Christmas Child

Posted in Home Life

This is our first year participating in Operation Christmas Child.  It is a wonderful ministry.  Please visit http://www.samaritanspurse.org/ for more information.  They have a wonderful video about it that brought tears to my eyes.  If you want to participate, you must hurry.  The deadline to have your boxes in is November 19.

From the website-

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program of Samaritan's Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands—on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.

We chose to pack a box for a little boy Isaac's age and a little girl Taylor's age.  We are using John's boot boxes.

Here is Isaac with the boy gifts.

And here is Taylor with the girl gifts.

Taylor made a really sweet card that said

God is God and he loves you very much and he thinks you are very speshll.  (That's how she spelled special.)
