Merry Christmas to ME!
Guess what my sweetie did for me? He built me a custom made desk for scrapbooking! I love to scrapbook, but find that I don't often get to do it because I have to unload all my supplies and clean them back up each time I want to use them. That takes TIME. Not to mention the little fingers that want to touch all the cool stuff that they don't often get to see.
So now I have a special place where I can leave out my tools and works in progress. I can paste down pictures whenever I have a few minutes to steal away to the bedroom,
What I love the most about this desk is that it is the very first thing John has built especially for me. He made it with love.
How much furniture can we say that about? Not only did he make it with love, but he did an outstanding job. It is absolutely perfect!
Here is John building it.

Here's the desk built, but not stained. He used white birch wood I believe.

And finally, here is my desk stained and finished! He even made me a shelf to go above it. This is my favorite color of wood ever.

Thank you so much sweetie! You're the best!

That is beautiful! You are very blessed. My husband wouldn't even think of attempting a project like that.

I found your blog via the "Recently Updated" feature, and it gave me such a smile to see your new desk. I, too, enjoy scrapbooking, but don't do it often for the exact reason you stated, not to mention the time it takes just to scrapbook. So kudos to your husband for a fine job. I look forward to seeing some of your pages following this new-found present!
Also, I love your Christmas-y theme. Do you change it each season?
