Weight Update
Well folks, I lost a big half a pound this week. I am pretty disappointed since I completely stuck to the plan. This is supposed to be the BIG weight loss weeks. I know that it's good that I at least didn't gain any and all that, but I was just hoping for more. I will endeaver to drink more water this week and watch my salt intake.

Don't Measure by Pounds... Measure Success
Posted by thewoons
Yeah, I know. We all want to lose weight, but we have to look at the bigger plan. Wasn't your goal to FIRST get your eating plan established, practical, and habitual? Didn't you succeed this week at doing that? Just eating right isn't your only weapon. You want to save your next weapon (exercise) for when you are good at using your first weapon. So, yes, half a pound is a GREAT deal!!! You lost half a pound and are not even using both your weapons! Great job!!! Don't be in a big rush. Look at the long term plan.
1. Establish a support system. (Did that.)
2. Learn to eat right. (Learning as we speak.)
3. Practice healthy eating habits routinely. (Doing well!)
4. Learn to celebrate success of sticking to your plan, not by the pound. (Still Working on this one.)
5. Add exercise slowly. (Not ready yet.)
If this is about weight loss... when you lose the weight... you will put it all back on. Believe me, I know. If this is about changing your life, you will learn to value the past weeks of success.
Hang in there. I think you are doing LOVELY!!! If this sounds like tough love... it is.
Your friend,
Charity

I know it can be so discouraging when your results fall short of your expectations! Next time just give yourself 5 seconds to freak out about it, then go on. I'm speaking from experience here!
