Forgiveness Lapbook

We finished our 1st character training lapbook today!  The topic was forgiveness.  It took us about 6 days working for about an hour a day.  We read about characters in the Bible who exhibited forgiveness such as Joseph, Jesus, and Stephen and also those who did not- like the servant who had a big debt forgiven him, but he would not forgive another fellow servant.  That one was a doozy!

I let Taylor have total freedom in how she wanted this book decorated and arranged.  Once again we used cardstock that is hole punched instead of an actual lapbook.

Here's the front page.

2nd page

"How many times" book open.By the way, I think this is the first lapbook that she has done 100% of the writing, cutting, folding, gluing, and arranging in.

Who's Who booki really like this one.  It has a bunch of scenarios for your child to decide if the story child did right or wrong.  One of the stories even requires the forgiving of a parent.  Now isn't that just like real life?

Forgiveness DrawingsIsaac and Taylor both did this activity.  It was especially meaningful for Isaac.  Inside the cross they wrote a sin that they had commited.  Then they colored the cross to show that Jesus paid for their sin and now they can be taken away.  Then, inside the heart, they wrote something that they needed to forgive someone else for.  Then they colored the heart to show that they would forgive the person because of love.

Last page.  Taylor wants to take a couple of pictures to fill out this last page.  One with her and Isaac fighting over a toy and one with them hugging and forgiving each other.

So that's it!  Here are the websites that I used for printables and ideas.
