More pics of the chicks
Here are just a couple more pictures of the baby chicks. We're up to 6 now, by the way. This first picture is the one #2 named Fred. Pretty photogenic little guy: Here are the first four recovering from their big morning: Yes, that bottom one is sleeping in the food dish. Chickens aren't the most intelligent of God's creatures! They come out pecking at each other, too. Sibling rivalry among hatchlings. Go figure. More pictures will follow. You guys are going to be sick of chicks before we're through!On a side note, guess what we had for lunch yesterday? Yep - chicken. I was fine until I thought about it. Kind of weird to be listening to chicks peep, watching them hatch, and then eating them all at the same time. Hamburger, anyone??? |
