I love living in Florida (reason #427)

I am so blessed to live here in Florida.  Above is just one of many reasons why.  (photo by NASA)  Today's successful launch of Atlantis was beautiful.  Great job launch team!  As I was typing this message, #2 called me outside.  This is what we saw:

This is the smoke/vapor trail from the shuttle being blown by the wind into a gorgeous pattern.  (photo by me)  God's artwork in the sky!
Happy weekend to all.

We got to see the space shuttle land a few weeks ago here in CA. It is a marvelous thing to experience. Glad I stopped by to say hello. Have a great rest of the week.

As long as I lived in Florida (32 years!), I never got to see a launch. Those smoke trails are really pretty!

Hi. We were at NASA for that launch. We drove
from Kansas City to see it first hand. What a beautiful thing, the shuttle taking off over a field, with the American flag flying in the distance. We even took the same photo of the vapor clouds. I cried when I watch the shuttle go up into space because I remember when they blew up in 1986 and 2003.....

That was a gorgeous lift off! The colors became vivid from where we were watching. (N. Central FL)

Here's what we saw... http://www.homesteadblogger.com/LakeLady/58938/Lift+Off%21%21.html

I tried to capture it, but wasn't all that successful.

We weren't even able to see the one that went up a couple of days ago. Although it was a clear day, there was such a muggy layer of ozone that it wiped our view out. :(

Enjoyed your blog!!
