The Alamo tournament...
| I just got back last night. I had a lot of fun, getting 5 hours of sleep each night and running constantly all day.....for four days. It was awesome! I didn't break in debate this time, we went 3-3, but we won all our affirmative rounds so our case remains undefeated! Yay! We were matched against a lot of hard teams including Harding-Pinero who ended up winning the tournament. Me and Anna broke to semifinals in our duo of the Christmas Carol! yay...and I did really well in all my limited prep speeches, but there were so many people competing in them that it was really hard to break. I was happy though. A lot of improvement. Anyways it was a ton of fun, I made a lot of new friends and met a lot of new people who may become more new friends. :) I can't wait until the Arkansas tournament! |

Our small group of older homeschool kids did a public speaking course last year, and we're going to continue this year I think, but with only apologetics speeches. But there weren't any debates- I'm not even aware of any debating club/tournament in my area. What was your team debating (is that how it works?)?
