Angle-Ball

Posted in Life...
This Saterday our church's youth got together with those from several other churches and played an awesome game called Angle-Ball. It's basically a mix between ultimate frisbee and basketball. Each side is defending a ball on top of a pole. You pass around a third ball and try to knock the other teams ball off the pole. Here are some pics.

Here's the group.

Here's some of us playing

Going for the Goal.

Wow! I like that picture of us. It came out far better than I expected it would. Tell Anna I said thanks for taking it. I like how look like you are getting ready to attack.

Blessings

Hello,

I was talking to a friend on HSB recently and I asked her if she knew of anyone on here who does NCFCA. She mentioned your name so I thought I'd just come over and say 'hi'. I am doing my second year of speech and first year of TP. I noticed that you're doing TP this year as well. Have you done it before?

Anyway. If you ever have a chance to come check out my blog, sometimes I post my speeches on there...I may even post my 1AC sometimes...I'd love to hear any comments you have about them.

In Christ,
Christine

Cool, what college did you visit?
Wow, three years. That's neat. My older sister is doing her second year- last year she and her partner made it to regionals. And she came in second place at the Patrick Henry College debate camp over the summer.
Wow, lots of speeches! Sounds busy. Good job to you and your sister with your duo! Are you doing another one with her this year? Any suggestions on duos? I am doing one for the first time this year. Last year I just did an HI, and I made it to regionals. This year besides duo, I am doing OO, persuasive and apologetics. I am taking the extemp class but I don't think I'll compete this year...
Um, fiddler4him (Katy) told me about you. I was just asking her if she knew anyone else on HSB in NCFCA.
What case are you running? My partner and I are doing abolish ethanol subsidies. How large is your club? We have a very small debate club with only three teams. Oh, by the way, I'm in Region 9.

Okay, sorry this was so long :D I guess I just have a lot to talk about when it comes to speech and debate!

Hey, how long have you played the violin? I took lessons for three years...just quite last summer. I have been playing piano for nine years and I had to drop one of my instruments...

Cool, what did you think of the college? Have you been looking into any others? Well, my sister is on HSD and her name is Arya. She said she has seen your name on there.

I'm thinking that I will probably compete in extemp next year...I am taking the class this year but I just don't think I'm ready to actually compete yet! I have never done any kind of impromptu speaking before this year either. I am doing apologetics though...

Wow, you've must be great on the violin. Do you do the Suzuki method?

Yes, she is Arya on HSD and she used to have a blog on HSB. Unfortunately she decided she was to bogged down with debate research and stopped blogging. She mentioned that she has seen your name on HSD though.

So, how long have you played soccer? Do you still play now? I played for eight years...but I am not playing this year. I'm hoping to pick it back up next year.

Yes, speech and debate are definitely bog-downers... if that makes any sense :D That was exactly why I didn't play soccer this year. It would be really cool if you played in college though! Do you know what you want to study in college? I'm still not sure...I keep changing my mind...guess I still have a couple years to figure it out anyway!
