My violin lessons always start with a lesson on making our "basement."  Suzuki friends will recognize this as a reference to using our foot chart and making sure our feet grow deep "roots" into our "foundation."  Now I have several pictures of this wonderful concept so necessary for playing the violin with ease.  A Foundation is important in all of life, yes?
