Give HIM the Glory!

There is something I have been wanting to do here on my blog for awhile, but I haven't found exactly the right words to say what I've been feeling....

When I first started blogging, my thought was that this would be a great way to share with others what my kids are learning, and what goes on in our homeschool. I think of this blog not only as my personal journal, but also as sort of an 'electronic yearbook' for our homeschool. It is personal and special to me, and I really strive to make it unique... just like our homeschooling experience is unique from any other family's homeschool journey. It is a place where I can freely express my creativity.... and more importantly, it is a place where I can praise God and give Him the Glory for the ways in which He has blessed me, my family, and our homeschool.

Therefore, from here on out, I am going to refrain from participating in any type of blog 'awards'. I REALLY want the honor and the Glory to go to The Lord. Not me. I am just an ordinary, less-than-perfect, mom (both in real life and on my blog) who is trying to do the best I can, by the grace of God. At times I can be a good writer, a good listener, a good encourager, or a good friend .... but that is only because of who I am in Christ.
Without Him I am nothing...and the Glory should go to Him!

So, from this day forward, I am proclaiming that my blog will be a 'tag-free' and 'award-free' zone. (The 'tag-free' part comes from my wanting my blog to be personal and unique. I may occasionally see a meme on someone's blog and decided to do it myself, but otherwise please do not feel offended if I do not respond on my blog if you 'tag' me!) I am truly honored that you thought of me, and from the bottom of my heart I appreciate it....but I just wanted to say that this is now an award-free blog,

Giving God ALL the Glory!

That is a wonder idea. I just may have to do that! I do not mind participating in meme's every now and then but I hate tagging others or passing the award along.
