I think that I am learning as much as the kids!
This week we are studying the Exodus and the events leading up to it.
Today we learned about the 10 plagues.
(Did you know that each plague targeted specific Egyptian false gods?)
Each time God plagued the Egyptians, he was demonstrating his authority over the false gods of the Egyptians. These false Egyptian 'gods' had no power to stop the plagues of the One True God.
And finally...the kids "wrapped up' their papier mache mummies! (pun intended )
Your mummies turned out great. You really are doing this at a wonderful time of the year... you could keep going and have an official Passover Seder.
We did this last year. It was fun and Marissa learned alot. Our Haggadah is on-line (http://acceptancewithjoy.files.wordpress.com/2007/05/haggadah.doc). This should not be confused with a Messianic or Jewish ceremony. It has all the parts, but Marissa rearranged them to suit her.
Hello....I'm Michelle!
I am a Christian wife, a homemaker, and a homeschooling mother of 4 wonderful children! This is the journal of our adventures in homeschooling!
Homeschooling is not just our method of education....it has become our way of life.
