At Home With Jesus!

When God answers prayers.....
This is my Father’s world: He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass;
He speaks to me everywhere.
God really did 'speak to me' this week!
There is nothing like receiving a solid, concrete, hold-it-in-your-hands answer to prayer!!!
I have been praying for quite some time that the Lord would guide me in my decision for what curriculum to use for next year.
I really, REALLY love CLE -
It is thorough, academically sound, Biblically based, and easy to use -
but the kids are starting to become bored and restless with so many workbooks.
We ALL love Five In A Row -
It is fun and inexpensive, but it is very teacher intensive -
and I think Julie is getting 'beyond' the picture books in the lower volumes.
I wanted something fun that we could do together, (like FIAR,) yet something that was that was thorough, academically sound, Biblically based, and easy to use - (like CLE.)
I was really drawn to My Father's World curriculum.
It is a unit study type of curriculum, but it combines elements from both
the Classical and Charlotte Mason approaches.
It was everything I was looking for! But...because of the cost...I hesitated....
I started watching for used sets on Ebay and swap boards, ( and I always seemed to 'miss them.')
I wondered - is this a sign? Does God NOT want me to use 'MFW' next year?
So I prayed and prayed.....
"Lord, please lead me to the curriculum that YOU think is best
for me to use for the kids next year!"
.....and did he ever!
A big box arrived in the mail yesterday from one of my
very dear friends from Homeschool Reviews.
Inside of it was a set of "My Father's world - Exploring Countries and Cultures" curriculum -
and almost every book that goes along with it.
I literally am brought to tears by the kindness and generosity of this dear friend,
and she will never know just how much she has blessed us!
I thank her with ALL of my heart!
Even more so - I thank God!!! \o/
I thank Him not only for his guidance, and the gift of curriculum,
but also for the gift of friendship.
So... to my dear friend, (who I know will be reading this! )
may God return the blessings to you MANY times over!!!

God bless this wonderful friend. Thank you Father for putting that desire on her heart to be so generous. :)
