A tiring week.

Whew... what a week!
Annie and Julie were both sick with colds, ( and when Annie gets sick her asthma flares up.)
Also, I had to go to the dentist ,(yuck! )

and I took Katie in to talk to out family doctor to discuss her recent problems. We are both concerned that the neurologist can't/won't see her until June... and so our family physician said to bring her in for a 'check-up' and then she would see if she could use her influence to get Katie in to the neurologist sooner. (Unfortunately, she couldn't...

)

Still, it was good to meet with her and discuss what is going on with Katie. A few things that she pointed out (that I hadn't even noticed) were the fact that Katie is showing tremors with her head, as well as her hands, and also that her calf muscles are very tight (she used the word "tonic," I think?) because Katie walks mostly on her tiptoes.

It turns out that we still can't see the neurologist until June, but.....
the two doctors have decided that Katie needs another MRI.

(Remember how traumatic the last one was?......For ME!!!)

This time I will be prepared, though! We have a good friend of the family who is an anesthesiologist, and so Katie's doctor said that I could coordinate it with him that he could be the one to put her to sleep this time. I pray that things go better, and that we hopefully will get some answers....

Oh, I'm so sorry that your baby girl is having so many health concerns. I know it can be very stressful on Mom to keep up a happy face while hurting so much inside.

Baby Boy had an MRI not too long ago. It was one of those that take about an hour and a half, it was the pits, so I'll definitely be praying for your little girl.

Just love her and give her all the support and comfort she needs. Children can really transcend a lot, much more than us Moms give them credit for.

I am so sorry that you have to put her through that again. But maybe that will help get her into the neurologist before June. That's sad that she can't get in. Is this the state of American health care?
