Okay - as much as I dislike snow...even I can appreciate the beauty of it... sometimes.
This morning I opened the blinds to the family room and saw THIS!
Isn't it strange/beautiful?!? (and the really odd thing is that it is on the inside of the screen - between the screen and the 'storm window.')
So...I guess sometimes snow is alright...as long as I think of it as 'art' - right?
We've been weathering the weather.
It has been bitter cold ( wind chills in the negative 20's) and the snow just isn't stopping.
We did have to brave the outdoors to take the older three kids to our church/Sunday school Christmas program. It's a huge group of kids, but they all did such a nice job!
Other than that - we've been huddled up at home.
Sipping hot cocoa, making fires in the fireplace - and decorating our gingerbread house!
I hope all of you are nice and toasty!
Michelle, The snow sculpture inside your screen is way cool!
I have shoveled out our home. The snow plow man still hasn't done his job though. And when he does, he will leave a nasty, heavy pile of wet snow right at the end of my driveway.

I don't know HOW you handle that cold. We had ONE cold night a couple of weeks ago, and I kid you not, I've still got a chill - and it's been in the 70's since that day.
I'd just sit in a corner and go to pieces if I had to endure it day in and day out, although I do admit, it sure is pretty.
Just keep posting pictures of it. I think that's about as close as I want to be for a while, LOL.

A little late but just wanted to say that you rock with the gingerbread house making! Looks great! You inspired me next year we are going to do one big house instead of the crazy make your own thing. It looks wonderful!
