My First GIVEAWAY!!!!

To celebrate the end of our school year
I am having my very first giveaway,
and 4 lucky readers will have the chance to win one of these fun books!!!

I've got something for the moms...

....and something for the kids!

And here's what you have to do to enter.....

You all know that I am  'stranded,'  (for lack of a better word,)
at home this summer - due to the lack of a vehicle.
So my challenge for you, is to leave me a comment with one or more fun/creative,
(and preferably inexpensive,)  ideas for us to do around home this summer.
That's it!

* Note - Be sure to mention in your comment which item(s) you are in interested in.
(We will have separate drawings for each)

I will accept entries up until midnight on June 10.
Winners will be selected by random drawing, and names will be announced on the 11th.

Now go...spread the word....(I'm looking forward to all of those great ideas!)

Good luck & God Bless,

Michelle

Ok, we don't do a lot creative stuff here, I usually just say "Go outside and quit bugging me!!" :) But, the one different creative thing we did do (besides regular coloring and painting) was this winter: the DIY puff paint!

** I'd LOVE the cookbook with the 20 minute recipes **

How about playing outside with the water hose or sprinkler. We always enjoy getting wet when it's hot outside.

Also what goes over here is writing and performing original plays and skits. It's even more fun when you make costumes to go with them. You can practice them during the day and then perform them for Daddy after dinner when he comes home from work.

That's about all the creativity I have.

How fun!

Hi Michelle!

Here's something my kiddos want to do this summer- they want to set up their own carnival/festival. They plan to make their own games like "fishing", the duck in the water game, bowling, bean bag toss etc. They also want to pop popcorn and give it out in those red and white paperbags. They plan on inviting neighbor kids. Hope that helps!

~Crystal

P.S. I am interested in the Back of the Box recipes :-)

#1 - If there are buses that run near you, you can try setting an amount of money and then see how far you can go with it. Like, "Let's see how far we can go for $15" Something like that. (I'm not sure if you live out in the country or not)

#2 - Have the kids pick their favorite movie. Then have them plan a play, acting out that whole movie - props, sets, curtains, the WORKS in the backyard. Invite everyone over to see the final production on Friday!

#3 - Have a Game Day. Get all your board games out and stack them in a pile. Then take the whole day to play each game, one at a time, taking the next game from the top of the stack. OR you can write the name of each game on seperate pieces of paper and put them into a bag or empty container. Have the kids take turns picking a paper out, then play that game 2 or 3 times. Then move onto the next game.

#4 - Do the same as #2 - only this time use their favorite book!!

#5 - Give each child a GIANT piece of posterboard and a box of crayons or markers. You think of a book title or character from a book that they've read (or listened to). Then have them draw a picture that describes that book, like a book report.

If I win, I'd like "Back of the Box Cooking".

You could have a treasure hunt inside or outside. Make a map and give clues. You could all participate in making a homemade pizza or cookies. Another thing my kids like is making their own ice cream sundaes. Thank you for offering this giveaway. I am interested in Back of the Box Cooking, Desperation Dinners and the Great Outdoors Games and Puzzles. My email is echoesoflove4@gmail.com

The Great Outdoors Games and Puzzles Book!

Michelle, how fun! A blog giveaway!

I have a few fun ideas for the summer.

I'm not sure if you have a sand box, but you can have lots of 'contests' with building castles, animals, houses, etc. If you do not have a sandbox, 1 -3 bags of playsand, and some concrete, or a big bowl will do the trick.

You can design a new logo for your homeschool exculsively for the 2009-2010 school year!

How about a nice walk around the neighborhood. Make it adventureous and see how many different types of trees/flowers/shrubs you can find. Make a chart!

Weed pulling is sure to keep anyone busy ;)

Hope that helps some :)

Blessings,
Christy

I made the kids a scavenger hunt book. I listed 12-20 things that the kids would be able to find around the house, either inside or outside.
I would like the back of the box book.
Thanks for the contest,
:>Michelle
