A blizzard?

I was awakened this week to a scream of "It's snowing!!!"

What?!! I knew it had been cold - but not it wasn't THAT cold - was it?!

And yet when I looked outside there was a 'blizzard' of white swirling in the air,
and the ground even had an accumulation of white.

Then I smiled and told the kids to go explore....

Their "snow" is only the seeds from the hundreds of cottonwood trees in our neighborhood.

Thankfully we won't need shovels for this 'storm'....just lots and lots of Benedryl!

Cottonwood trees make me sneeeeeeze! We have two huge ones in our yard now. Ugh.

Ooohhh my eyes are red and itchy and my nose is all stuffy just from viewing those photos. I'd never make it!

Actually last Sunday and Monday felt cold enough to snow; the skies looked threatening, but then the rain came. The first two days of our cities "summer" vacation was too icky for outdoor play.

My sister had cottonwood blowing all over her yard in the cities when we were there on Friday too.
