Weekly recap & Father's Day
I apologize, but our days are so full lately it seems that all I've had time for lately is a weekly recap of sorts.
This past week was really nice.
My aunt, my cousin and her darling baby boy, Owen, came up for a visit.

(Nothing like that to give me "baby fever!" )
He was such a little sweetheart, we were all completely enamored with him - and every one of the kids begged me for a 'little brother' after he left.
This past weekend was also Father's day. I simply cannot thank God enoughfor the blessing of my dear husband, Paul. He is the most selfless, wonderful guy (.. gee..can you tell I'm still head over heels in love with him after 14 years?)
So, we let "dad" choose all of the activities this weekend, and being the great family guy that he is, this is what he chose...
Saturday: (The local farmer's market in the morning, and then a day swimming with the kids at the community pool)
(Julie was brave and decided to try the slide and diving boards in the deep end this year.)
Joseph...well...he likes the shallow end (to 'practice his surfing' he says.)
And Annie....as long as she has her duck - she doesn't care where she is - LOL.

As for me...a bottle of sunscreen and a good book are all it takes to make me happy!
(And don't worry, I promise...that's all you're going to see of me in my swimsuit!)

Sunday: We took a day trip down to Madison ( The closest city with a Trader Joes...which is where DH really wanted to go.)
We also stopped to plant some flowers on my mother's grave. We had hoped to also include a beach or a park on our trip, but it started to sprinkle, so we headed for home.
We did drive through Horicon marsh once again on our way home. It has been so much fun to see the seasonal changes there. We saw some muskrats an bunnies this time - and the sun finally peeked through the clouds at dusk. It was beautiful.

Looks like you all had a lovely father's day weekend. That swimming sure looks fun.
