Learning together

Yeah!

We've just had one of those days where I really feel like we're making progress.  Yeah!

LJ has finished his first maths book, and we only started it in January, so I'm really proud of him.  He's very pleased with himself too, and afterwards sat down with an electronic puzzle and actually chose to do the subtraction game.  'Mummy, I'm getting them right!'  The game didn't last long, but what a self-esteem boost!

Go LJ!

Then we went swimming, and he swam right across the pool unaided for the very first time!  Yippee! How exciting!  (We started swimming about 5 and a half years ago.... )

This was a good day and I'm greatful for it.  Thank you, Lord!

Those good days are just brilliant, aren't they? They definitely make up for the days which seem to be going totally wrong!
Well done on the swimming!

Yea for progress. I told you homeschooling would get easier the longer you did it! : )
My kids are beginning to get bored from our break. I think it is time to pull out the extra chore list. (ha! That will teach them to be bored!)
We start again around August 5th, so not much longer. Then the kids will complain about having to do school work. Go figure.
No pics of hairstyles for me because my daughter wouldn't want the fact that she looks like her mom to be in cyberspace. A couple of weeks ago, our pastor's wife stopped me (she saw me from behind) to ask how my sprained ankle was recovering. I told her dd was recovering fine. She said, "Oh, I thought you were Brit!"
All her friends have told me they like the haircut, but that Brit and I look alike. (It's terrible to hear this from your friends!)
