Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm Cassie, a teenage girl who has a heart for the Lord. I blog to entertain, encourage, or inform anyone who happens to read the stuff I write. Don't forget to check out my profile and the other links below. There is also a playlist of my favorite songs at the bottom of the page.
I am an... "Investigator"
gatherer of data; compelled to identify reality and bring order; stable, conservative, dependable, reserved, logical, fastidious, systematic, painstaking, thorough, dutiful; fine motor skilled.
What a week! My mind is now refreshed and I set out with a mission. I am a soldier of Christ and I battle in the name of the Lord!
And aren't the sweatshirts awesome?
Any kids ages 12-18 should definitely come to this camp! OR ELSE! (Just kidding.) But seriously, if you find yourself stumbling in your faith or just feeling a little down about things happening in the world, camp Soundview provides you a chance to escape from everything and take time to grow closer to the Lord.
Tonight is the Soundview reunion, and I wanted so bad to go! But my mom won't let me because I have a driving class at 6. It's so sad. I have not even been to church since the week before camp and I have not seen my friends in so long.
I need to study for the test in class tonight, so I will go now.
Bye!
~Cassie
Sorry if all these different parts are confusing you, but I am only aloud 50 pictures to a slideshow on Photobucket. I'm going to need a way to do more for the unit celebration...that is, if we ever have it. It still is not rescheduled. What to do with the costume I worked so hard to put together! (Well, not that hard...)
Hello everybody! I just back today from an amazing week at camp Soundview. I am really tired from so much activity and not much sleep, so I will try to make this post short and sweet. It was my second year at Soundview, and the theme was "Fight the good fight of faith". I really learned a lot this year at camp and am thankful to be reminded that my life has great purpose and meaning as a soldier for Christ.
Three times a day, at the morning session, the evening session, and the campfire, we worshiped God through song. I learned two new ones that I have added to the end of my playlist. The words of each really speak to my heart, so I thought I'd share them with you. They are "Everyday", and "Love Enough" by Hillsong United.
Everyday
What to say, Lord? It's
You who gave me life and I
Can't explain just how
Much You mean to me now
That You have saved me, Lord
I give all that I am to You
That everyday I can
Be a light that shines Your name
Everyday, Lord, I'll
Learn to stand upon Your word
And I pray that I
That I might come to know You more
That You would guide me with every single step I take, that
Everyday I can
Be Your light unto the world
Everyday, it's You I'll live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord
Everyday, Lord, I'll
Learn to stand upon Your word
And I pray that I
That I might come to know You more
That You would guide me with every single step I take, that
Everyday I can
Be Your light unto the world
Everyday, it's You I'll live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord
It's You I live for, everyday
It's You I live for, everyday
It's You I live for, everyday
It's You I live for, everyday
Everyday, it's You I'll live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord
Everyday, it's You I'll live for
Everyday, I'll follow after You
Everyday, I'll walk with You, my Lord
Love Enough Your love's enough to see the broken hearts Gain a brand new start with a brand new heart As the faithful hope in things unseen You're enough to see all the things they dream Come to life
We're living in the Saviour today And this day is what we have now In this moment we have chosen to praise And it's changing how we live now
Your love it broke my fall It's more than enough and I need it ‘Cause I've never known better And I'll never know better
This love will see me soar It's more than enough and I need it ‘Cause I've never known better And I'll never know better
Your love's enough to see the humbled man Find the cause of Christ With his outstretched hands As the cripple grabs his mat to walk You're enough to save him from the pain he bore
My Saviour You'll never let me go My life is now secure
My Saviour You'll never let me go And in Your hands my future's brighter
This is just something I found online. Most of these states I've been to I don't even remember because we were just driving through during our moves across the country. (My dad was is the Navy). Since I was born, we've moved from Florida, to Maine, to Washington, to Nova Scotia, and back to Washington. Here's another map of states I actually remember:
