Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm Cassie, a teenage girl who has a heart for the Lord. I blog to entertain, encourage, or inform anyone who happens to read the stuff I write. I am an... "Investigator"
gatherer of data; compelled to identify reality and bring order; stable, conservative, dependable, reserved, logical, fastidious, systematic, painstaking, thorough, dutiful; fine motor skilled.

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like." The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the roomwas a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the ho ly man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell." They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, "I don't understand." It is simple," said the Lord. It requires but one skill. You see.they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves." When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you. Its estimated 93% won't repost this. If you are one of the 7% who will, repost this with the title "7%".
I forgot to announce that it was Paige's birthday on Friday! *Ahem*...HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAIGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, weird icon I know. Here's a better one.
We had a "special delivery" for her...Grammee and Pa brought Sarah over for the party. Boy was that a busy day..but I think Paige had a really good time. She got 9 presents...the same number as her age...and her cookie pizza was really tasty.
I picked it out, because she was very undecided about everything. It went sort of like this: cassie- What do you want to do for your birthday?
paige- I don't know.
cassie- What kind of presents do you want for your birthday?
paige- I don't know.
cassie- What kind of cake do you want?
paige- I don't know...etc.
Okay, now for some MORE tags...(yea, I think I'm addicted)
Sorry, I can't remember where I got these...probably shootingstar or twizzlergirl's blogs.

Today is another precious Saturday...and it was made even better after I skipped the soccer game on account of these reasons 1. It was raining and 2. I had to babysit. I'm going to read my book (finally) right after this tag...
btw the the book I'm reading is The Bark of the Bog Owl and it's part of the WilderKing trilogy. It's fantasy with an American twist and a King David theme...it's very interesting and I recommend it to anyone!
From www.wilderking.com:
"The Wilderking is about virtue. It’s a word we don’t use very much any more. But when it first entered our language, the word virtue was defined as “manliness” or “valor.” That is to say, the idea of moral excellence was closely tied to a soldierly sort of courage and initiative: the power to make good things happen. Today we equate virtue with chastity—an important facet of moral excellence, but one defined by what you won’t do, not by what you will do or can do. Modern dictionaries list “manly courage” as an obsolete definition of virtue. It’s my hope to help restore the old definition to its rightful place."
"I like to call The Wilderking a fantasy-adventure story told in an American accent. The great fantasy stories in our tradition tend to look and feel British or European. You read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and there’s no doubt an Englishman wrote it. Or think about Tolkien’s orcs with their Cockney accents. I thought it would be fun to write a knights-and-castles fantasy story set in an imaginary world that feels a little more like the world on this side of the ocean."
"In part it was a practical decision. From the start I knew that even though the setting of The Wilderking would be imaginary, the story would be very rooted in the natural world. And the natural environments I know best are the woods and rivers and swamps of the southern half of Georgia. About the time I first conceived of The Wilderking, I was reading the naturalist William Bartram’s account of his trip up the Altamaha River in south Georgia. This was in the eighteenth century, when the river was still in its primeval state. And the scene Bartram described couldn’t have been more wild or exotic if it had been the Congo itself. I knew then what the world of the Wilderking would look like." - Jonathan Rogers
I couldn't have said it better myself. *Anyway*, I got tagged again...this time by my sister jillybean.
