the answers to my quiz...(ok this is sad!)

well Hallo! from the very disappointed member Treebeard,

ok so you guys know (maybe) that I did a quiz. well the person who won is...

                                GANDALF!!!

because Gandalf was the only one who actually DID it!!!

 come'on guys I know that you can do better.  and yes I know that you are busy, but how long does it take to type down some answers?? is what I'm asking. 

I'm sorry I know that I'm being a bit hard (and save me hasty). but I feel like I'm the only one whose going on here. =( and thats no fun.

but thank you Gandalf for actually doing my quiz! that was great of you! and for Haldir for posting last! that was nice! and for Gimli, Aragorn, and Haldir for going on the C-box with me! thats what makes this fun! ok? Christmas break is coming up, so maybe can we go on here more when theres no school? and if you feel like posting, but just don't know what about, just do a random game, or say whose your favorite characters and why. any more idears? POST THEM!!!! ok? its as easy as that.

Some thoughts I had on LOTR, Two Towers

Hello,

For one I am sorry I have not written an entry in so long. But here I am writting one now!

So just recently I finnished The Two Towers and I had some little thoughts about one part near the end.

I would love to hear any thoughts that y'all might have too!

So here are mine-

"But you haven't put yourself forward; you've been put forward. And as for not being the right and proper person,
why, Mr.Frodo wasn't, as you might say, nor Mr. Bilbo. They didn't choose themselves."

And well that just made me think that God places opportunities before us, not us, we don't choose that.
And really we aren't the "proper person", we have flaws, we sin, but God calls us to do His will anyways.
We don't choose ourselves  to do whatever task we want. God chooses us to do the task He has created us to do.
 
And just like Sam debates what to do with the ring, take it or leave it, we must choose to respond to God's call
or not.
 
And I just think it's so cool to think of the people like Frodo who take the burden and risk their lives for God! 
 
 I hope you enjoyed and maybe it made you think a little. There are so many things you can get from the LOTR books so really pay attention.

hullllllo again!

I have decided that I'm going to do a quiz! and it's about anything that is on the top of my head!! (LOTR stuff of course:) ok sooooo here goes....

7. for that matter what is Aragorn's horses name??

8. did Legolas and Gimli do those who can kill the most orcs compositions?

9. in the book how long did the Ent moot last?

What's up?

     I found something to post! yay me! Today at a book sale I got a book called The Rough Guide To Lord Of The Rings. It's pretty cool. There's lots of pictures in it, but they're in black and white :( In this book there is biographies( or discriptions, not sure which to call them) on the characters. List to what it says about Merry and Pippin "The young hobbits Meriadoc 'Merry' Brandybuck and Peregrin 'Pippin' Took were happy-go-lucky, occasionally dopey cousins who loyally went along Frodo's journe with thier unusual boundless enthusiasm but no understanding of the terrors that awaited them".  Wow, that's sad, haha. Poor dopey hobbits.

'ello again!

well I just felt like posting! soooo...the next step is to figure what to post about!  hummmm......well I'll just share some news that you people (and other creatures) prolly know!!

the Hobbit (the movie) is comming out in 2011! and there splitting it up into two movies! the first one is comming out in 2011, and the other one is comming out in 2012!! you can find new news about it, on the theOneRing.net. it is pretty awesome site!  

and I'll remind you people (and other creatures) that the Eowyn or Arwen poll is still going! (you can find it one post down) sooo VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

first I would like to thank everybody who did it!! you all did sooo good! =D

            he got all of them right!

    Haldir would of tied but she did the wrong answer first. and   then she asked to change it. but I didn't think that was very fair. so she got second place!

You Know You're Addicted to Lord of the Rings When...

Hello again...

This is a list I go off the Internet. It's quite hilarious and I'll admit I actually do some of the stuff listed here. Feel free to comment below with some more! Hope you like it!

-You start quoting from the movie as part of regular conversation.
-You like to tell your mom that you are hungry by quoting: "Merry, I'm hungry." She used to just laugh, but now she says, "What would you like to eat, Pippin?"
-You continually ask your parents for second breakfast.
-All the staff at your local cinema knows you by your first name and even before you open your mouth to speak, they say "Ticket for 'Fellowship of The Ring?'"
-You hate Burger King food, but you ate nothing else for a month to get the toys.
-You've crammed up your computer's memory by downloading every single screen saver from www.LordoftheRings.net
-You wander around the house in a knee length nightie, pyjama trousers and an unfastened dressing gown (to give you a train).
-You are trying to be an elf, and actually manage to forget that the nightie is blue with dolphins, the trousers have teddies on and the dressing gown is tartan.

-You've gained 20 pounds because you've started eating a "Second Breakfast"

Finished!

Hello!

Over the weekend I finished The Two Towers!!!!!!!! I have now started on The Return of the King! It is really good. Shelob in The Two Towers totally creeped me out, but now I have developed an interest in spiders. Hmmm....

I don't know what else to write so I'll just say a random Tolkien fact I discovered today while reading one of his many biographies. DId you know that when he was a baby, he lived in South Africa? When he was just over a year old, he was biten by a tarantula, which inspired Shelob the giant spider! Amazing, right?

Namarie, Shelob and Arwen!

Well, to clear some stuff up...

Shelob and Arwen left this club. So, Namarie!! Also, I have never heard back from the first Eowyn so I gave her position and name to UndoTheHorsePen.

We have some new members. UndoTheHorsePen  as Eowyn. And hopefully soon: michaelslife.

I have not heard back from many of the members so I'll be posting to update your information.

Lord of the Rings Movie Scripts

Greetings! I was Googling Lord of the Rings just now and I stumbled across links to copies of the scripts. Very cool, I can now officially memorize EVERYTHING in the movies. Here are the links:

Congrats to Aragorn!

Congrats to Aragorn who just logged on and answered all 5 quiz questions correct! I should've known better on the 2nd question.  That answer was yes the Balrog did appear earlier when Durin VI ruled in Moria and he was slain by the Balrog.  I'm having Pippin (godzwilla) making Aragorn an award for getting 3 full quiz questions right.  And for Haldir who is 2nd, I'll be passing on an award that I've got as well.  And a little reminder, just because Aragorn is my sister doesn't mean I give her the answers.  That's all the quizs and I'll be having some new games up and running soon.
