Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

Quiet Time Resource
This is a link to a great explanation of how to have a quiet time with the Lord. I've been really lacking in this area for the past few months. God has given me a literal prayer closet (well, a small walk in closet big enough for prayer), and I want to focus on getting into this routine this summer:
Alright, alright already! So, I'm going to try to start thig blog thing. Jump into the 21st century. I've wanted to keep a journal of our homeschooling adventures (how many fresh notebooks do I have stashed around here for just that purpose), but it just doesn't happen on paper. Perhaps online it will.
The house is quiet now. We are in the middle of our baseball season, and all the fresh air has knocked everybody out of commission. Even me, although I took an afternoon nap while dh and the boys continued to build the swingset in the backyard.
I was then sent out of the house to get over my crabbiness. "Go use your blow money and buy yourself something to drink. Then just sit and read or think or...something." I visited Starbucks for a -- yum -- cinnamon something or other. Never had one of those before. It was delish! However, the coffee store was too empty to be anonymous, so I just left to go grocery shopping. My big question is: who's cooking tomorrow? Since we've been trying to follow Dave Ramsey's money principles (with a little Crown Ministries mixed in), we don't go out to eat much anymore -- which is fine for me. EXCEPT on Mother's Day.
We are a Christian family educating our 3 boys: Hugs (8), Smiley (5), and Giggles (2). We've chosen to use mostly classical homeschooling methods, though this could change as the Lord leads us. I've started this blog because I have wanted to journal about our homeschooling experience, and life in general, but it is nearly impossible to sit with paper and pen. So, I'll write about where the Lord is leading our homeschool, how we're doing with it, and other bits about life with 3 boys.
(Yes, I realize that my boys will hate their online monikers in a few more years!)
