Core Learning was kind enough to send me Crayola Art Studios. It is amazing to me how an artsy person like myself could have existed for 20 some years without this!
I love art and my children have inherited my interest. This was an item we actually fought over turns for. It's a blast! Chloe and I enjoyed painting and sketching while the younger ones liked using the stamp feature.
I even combined the stamp feature with the writing feature and created work sheets for matching and simple addition and subtraction. The possibilities for use are endless. All for $24.95 on sale (reg. $29.95).
I also received a Math and Language Arts Demo, A Health Series Demo, and Art & Creativity Demo. As I've said in other reviews, I prefer textbooks for teaching Math. Their Language Arts program looked interesting and their Health Series is one I will revisit when mine are a litle older.
I enjoyed all of what Core Learning has to offer. The Art impressed me most though. One of their Art Programs on the Demo was called Creativity Express. It is a program that uses short animated cartoons (with characters resembling 3-2-1 Penguins) to teach Art concepts and Art History to young children. It appears to be very interactive. I was so impressed by the trailer for this that it is a definite on next year's school list. It costs only $30.
All in all, I enjoyed reviewing the materials from Core Learning.
Visit their site soon to make use of their sale on Crayola Art Studio. I'm not sure how long it will last.

Finally, a school item that I had fun using too. Like my painting? The kid's works are on the fridge.
