Update on Last Week's Coffee Emergency (!)

Those of you who are wondering, I did not get electrocuted by my morning preparation of coffee in my leaky Bunn coffee maker.  In fact, two days after I wrote that post, I got my replacement seals in the mail.  Talk about fast!  I guess they know I really need my coffee. :)

It was getting pretty bad.  In order to make one pot,  I would have to:

Step 1: Clear counter top

Step 2: Make sure I am wearing rubber soled shoes

Step 3.  Get two clean bath towels out of bathroom

Step 4.  Place said bath towels on two exposed sides of Bunn maker (it is in a corner of the counter)

Step 5.  Shoo DS out of the kitchen

Step 6.  Pour three pitchers of water through coffee maker

Step 7.  Mop up flooded counter with towels

Step 8.  Do not touch wet countertop, mild tingling shock could ensue (don't ask how I know this)

Step 9.  Place dripping towels in washer.  Wipe up remaining water.

Step 10.  Pour cup of cofee and sit down and thank the Lord I am alive (and properly caffeinated.)

The seals worked like a charm and were pretty easy to install.  Also I did not have to pay for a new maker, at the tune of 100 dollars.

I will never take my coffee for granted again! :)
