Well, we survived the first week of school. Joshua and Jessica were glad to get back and see their friends. Garrett said it was boring and Kenzie said she didn't like walking in line and having to keep her hands to herself (she's a hugger so that was NO FUN for her). The air was unhealthy all week due to the fires up north, so the kids could not play outside during recess or lunch break. We seem to be getting back into the schedule of things. If I could just get to bed earlier.... |

Hope you had a great holiday. We went to Gabbie's house and swam for awhile then BBQ'd and did the fireworks. My mom, dad, and sister Deanna also went. Gabbie's parents were there too. We had a blast! The kids really enjoyed the fireworks this year. Kenzie was scared of the noise and of the sparklers at first but she started liking them by the time we were done. My new camera works great so I got some good pictures. We're very fortunate to have our independance so Praise God! |

Hi guys. Can't believe it's July already. Time is going by way too fast. I remember when I was little and my dad told me that time would go by faster when I was older and I thought "No way!" He was right as usual. What a wise man my father is... Joshua, Jessica, Garrett and Mackenzie start school next Tuesday. It doesn't feel like they've had enough time off and I'm not ready for them to go back. I know I'll enjoy the hours to myself but I'll still miss them. The house is coming along. Cody got the "attic" done and got the Christmas stuff put up there. We did our final inspection and passed so now we can do the rest of the stuff at our own pace. We're hoping to get Caleb's room done in July/August and then we'll either finish the other boys' room or start on the kitchen. We also need to finish the rain gutters so we can paint the outside. I talked to Grammy and she said she checks my blog so I'll update so you all can read it. Thanks for the comments. I enjoy them. I need to learn how to add pictures so you can see how big the kids are getting. |

Hi everyone, Happy Valentine's Day to you all. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I updated my blog. So much for keeping it up to date. I'll try to do better...I promise. Check up on me every week and let me know when I'm slacking off. I have to get dinner finished now (we're trying a new recipe tonight). I'll update some pics soon. . Cody is now trying to get his garage organized so we can get all the tools out of the house and start on the girls room. I've got several pieces of furniture to paint and restore, and a few closets to reorganize so I'll be busy too. Hopefully, we'll be done with our projects about the same time so we can get the girls room done.|
