Convicted to Complete

God is still on the throne...

In the light of what is occurring here in California, we have reason to rejoice and give God the glory nonetheless. There have been some positive things said in the last few days including that the superintendent of schools has released a positive statement on homeschooling. In the midst of our struggles and trials, we must choose to praise our God as we are blessed.

I Peter 3:14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened."

While I feel that this might just be the first of many attacks Christian parents will face in this country, we as parents must persevere each day in the lives of our children. The day may not be far off when on a national level we will be denied our right to educate our children within our homes. The political waters are turning in our country. Federal judicial nominees are being held off from a fair vote by the Democratic party as they believe the presidential office is about to be theirs. They want to put into place liberal judges who will usher in policies of same-sex marriages and maintain the status of abortion, but watch that they won’t etch away at the very Christian foundations our nation was built on. As Jay Sekulow put it this morning on the radio, they are attempting to rewrite the constitution. You can visit his site aclj.org and sign the petition to tell the senators to do their job and vote for these nominees.

I did have a quite a profound moment on Tuesday, I was struck with how much I treasure and cherish that fact that my kids are home with me. My encouragement to the moms with younger children who wonder, "Would I be better off or would my kids we better off in school..." Can I just say, NO. I can speak from my experiences that the days do get easier and they go by so much faster, that you will be so glad that you didn’t let any slip away.

Continue to bend your knees for the California situation as it really is a concern for the nation and parental rights in general. Our God is sovereign!

Psalm 34:19 The righteous may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers them from them all

May blessings be yours and rejoicing flow freely,

Jennifer

I love that post. I do not live in California but as my fellow homeschoolers I have committed this to daily prayer and your right. Our God is sovereign and His precious will, will be done. Hope things turn around down there for all of you. Take care.
