I love to take pictures whether I am working on another project with our bunnies, or just preserving the beauty of creation that I notice at the time! Despite my schedule and appointments I do not want to hurry so much that I miss the lovely work that God has done! Some days I notice a hummingbird at the blooms outside my kitchen window. With summer's departure and the hummingbirds gone, I look at the beauty of our autumn days. Some of our bushes are blooming though the days are cooler. I took some pictures and savored the moments in the sunshine. How beautiful is God's handiwork in delicate flowers! There are times I gather a bouquet and display it in a vase on the kitchen table for everyone to enjoy. Flowers are such a pleasure when we behold their delicate beauty or fragrance!

While taking pictures of these blooms I noticed movement amongst the pollen covered stamens. A bee was working. The amusing site was seeing that the bee was totally covered in the pollen! He had gotten so immersed in his work that he was coated with the powdery pollen! The bee was covered with the lovely fragrance of the flower too! What a delightful object lesson was unfolding before my eyes! Just as the bee labored to gather pollen for sustanence and to take back to the hive he was supplied with God's abundance and totally captured the beauty and fragrance of the flower too!

That is just like our wonderful Lord-who loadeth us daily with benefits! Our time spent with Him in prayer and reading His precious word is sweet as the honey in the honeycomb! The more time we are immersed in His word and work the more glory and joy He pours over our soul. Our hearts are filled to overflowing and our tongue rejoices in God and His goodness! His tender lovingkindness becomes us! May the beauty of Jesus be seen in us today!!

AMEN to all that. There just isn't enough hours in a day to drink in all of the beauty and wonder of God's creation and the lessons He has for us. Romans 1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:" I am so glad that when this old world is gone, He is making a new heaven and a new earth.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I was just thinking of you the other day and stopped by here and at your Shoppe. Congratulations on your placing at the KY show. What a huge show -- is that the biggest? Your bunnies are so adorable. Anna popped in while I was at your site and she loves the bunnies in the boat! I want to get your new book too - maybe two copies and give one to my 3 yr. old nephew for Christmas. I love the picture of the 2 buff Hollands that you have pictured for your caption contest. I'll have to check with the girls and see if they would like to tackle the creative writing challange. It sounds like something right up their bunny trail. :)
I hope you had a good summer! Your photos above are beautiful - it's 26 with a few snow flurries now - I'm afraid your roses wouldn't last long here.
Have a blessed day!
Nov. 9, 2008 - Hello
So true! As we spend time in God's Word - we become fragrant like Him. His Word is sweet, and what a delight to have uninterrupted time to take it in, have our souls nourished, and find rest and peace. The pink flowers are stunning - hard to believe that you have anything still in bloom this late into the Fall. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
And thank you for stopping by my blog to say "hi". The description you shared of the deer outside the front of your church in the shadow of the cross, sounds like it was a breath-taking sight. I love watching God's creatures in action, and being witness to the many faces and colors of His creation. Our Fall here in the Pacific N.W. this year was astounding. I don't recall as lovely a Fall in many years. God IS GOOD!
Blessings to you Loretta,
Pam
