I was just talking with my friend and we were discussing church families & what our responsibilities are. Wouldn't it be an amazing testimony to others if we reached out and supported (whatever that would entail) our families first then our church families? What would that say to others that were looking in on our lives?
If there is a family that needs childcare should we not be the ones to provide help? If there is an elderly person who needs care should we not be the one to care? If there is a single woman who needs help with her car should someone within the body not fill that need? What if someone needs food? Money? Time? (AHHH time-there is where the issue lies isn't it? We are a too busy society that just has none to spare-this is definetely another blog subject!)
Is that not the way that Christ would want us to be? We can get so very wrapped up in the mindset of outreach...not that that is bad...but if we are not caring for our households how effective can we be long term to others? Would this type of behaviour not be an outreach in itself? Would it not be an ultimate act of worship for Christ? Would this surpass any 'religion' and show a pure relationship between us and our Saviour?
How far could this reach? The possibilities are endless.

Just my thoughts for the day...
