I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!

Jan. 13, 2008~ Today ~
Not much today to talk about. I dropped my oldest daughter off at the airport with her boyfriend. They are headed back home. It made me very sad. I wish we all lived close. But...I guess that is the way it works out sometime.
We had a great day of snowball fights and sledding before they went home. I will post pictures at a later date.
I do want to request something of all of you. My friend, who is my pastors wife, has been struggling with some health issues. They have been doing tests since fall and it always came up as nothing. Finally a few days before Christmas they rushed her to the emergency room because she could not breathe very well. They found a tumor that reaches into her left atrium of her heart into her liver, then out her liver and down part of both her legs. ( this is the readers digest condensed version.)
Anyway, this is so very rare that they cannot find anyone who has worked on this type of thing before. They are putting calls in all over the U.S. So, please pray for her and her family. She has a 10 year old daughter and her husband at home. You know all the emotions that would be in a situation like this if you were in the same position, so please just pray accordingly as you think of her. Thank you so much...there is so much power in prayer.
Wow, I didn't realize you had children much older than the ones I see on your slide show. How old were you when you married? LOL :O)
I will pray for your friend, this is so sad and scary.
(((Blessings on your week)))

We are a family of 9. We have home schooled since 1990. Our oldest 3 have graduated and are off on their own. So now we have a 10th,8th,6th and 4th grader. Our main goal as we have walked this path for a while now is to have a strong tight bond with our children and to have them love the Lord. We enjoy various ways of schooling mainly sticking to a Charlotte Mason path. I guess something that God has taught us through our journey is that we need to be grounded in what we know is true, yet flexible enough to grow in order to not be broken by winds of change.Until I figure out how to get pictures on here you can check us out at www.photobucket.com under garringer9 ---enjoy!
