I love school.  The first thing we always do is Math.  I am doing second grade math and Caleb is doing fourth grade.  We have fun.  I love math!!  When math is over, then we do phonics and language.  Then we take a break and have a snack.  When we come back, we do Bible.  We got our report cards last week and I did a great job!  I got all A's and B's!  I got an A+ in science.  I love science.  We do cool things.  I like everything about school.  Sometimes, I get A's and B's, and sometimes I don't.

Caleb & I just finished a game called Halo on Xbox.  We beat the last level because Caleb gets a car and I get a car.  I am a good driver even though the car was on fire.  If I am not driver, I am a good shooter, killing the bad guys.  I shot on the ground to help us go faster (that is what Ty said it would do).  When it is my turn to drive, I got in the driver's seat and he shot the bad guys.  We only had three minutes to make it out of the building before it blows up.  It was funny when we were jumping over the heads of the bad guys.  Then the final movie came on and showed that we had made it out on time!!

Last week, I was captain for the football game.  That meant I got to walk to the middle of the field and shake the other teams hands and watch the coin toss.  The Eagles got the ball (woohoo!!) and we started the game.  We beat the other team by a lot of points.  That means we are goint to the playoffs to play Clanton Orange.  If we win there, we will be in the championship game!!!

Before we went to the beach, we went on a camping trip to Rickwood Caverns.  We had a lot of fun playing with Ty and Jacob.  We played on the playground.  They had a merry-go-round that I loved even though it made me a little dizzy.  We played a game where we put a toy on the merry-go-round and had to try and catch it before it fell off.  If we didn't catch it, we lost a life.  We had 20 lives.  Our friend Savannah won.  And she's a girl!  She did not lose any lives at all.  Then Mom & Dad called and we went to help Dad build a fire.  Here is a picture of us gathering fire wood:

We got to explore a huge cave underground.  We saw small bats there!  But they don't eat people, they only eat dragonflies.  It was cooler in the cave than outside.  We saw a pool of water that was so clear and pretty.  Our guide said there were sharks and alligators.  I think she was kidding.

When we were leaving the cave, we had to climb up 101 steps.  It was really hard and my legs and arms were tired.  Mom was really really thirsty when we got back to camp.  We all were except Jacob.

The swimming pool was closed.  It was really dirty because it was not summer.

I liked to swing on the playground, too.

I can't wait to go camping again, but Mom says it is getting too cold at night sometimes and she doesn't want us to get sick.  Me either.  I hate shots.

Sorry it has taken so long for me to update this!  I went to Pennsylvania this summer and then I have been working hard on other stuff...We went to the beach this weekend and we saw some birds.  Hannah tried to get the birds when she chased them.  But she did not catch them.  I loved the water and I loved the big waves.  It was really, really fun to try and jump the waves.  I tried to make a sand castle by putting sand in a bucket then dumping it on the beach.  When I messed it up a couple of times I was really happy that Caleb and Dad and Hannah came to help me with the sand castle.  We went somewhere else later that night and saw the beac when the sun went down.  It was beautiful.  When I sat down in the water, a big wave almost came and got me, but I got up very fast.

I had a great time at the beach!

I like playing SuperKids outisde.  I didn't name it that, Jacob did.  There's 15 stories we have done playing Superkids.  In the first story, Jacob fell down and when he touched the string, Ty's crystal was orange, Jacob's crystal was green, Caleb's crystal was blue, and my crystal was red.  We all have super powers.  Ty is Fireboy, Caleb is Forceboy, I am Ninjaboy, and Jacob is Forceboy, too.  We save the world and fight the bad guys.  I love playing outside.

The best things about school are Bible, math, and the breaks!  I love Bible because sometimes we learn about Jesus and other people in the Bible.  I love math because I am being good at math and like wokring hard.  The bad parts about school are workbooks, handwriting, and spelling.  But I know they are good for me to learn, but they are kinda boring.  I am doing good, though, and making a lot of A's.  Sometimes I get B's, but those are still good.

For my birthday, my mom, dad, Caleb, & Hannah are all coming with me to Pennsylvania.  We are going to have a good time!  I will stay there for the summer with Mammy, then come back to Alabama to start the 2nd grade!!  I am going to read some books in Pennsylvania because that's what mom said.

Here is a picture of me and Ty in those wooden things that they used to punish people a long time ago.  We went on a field trip to the American Village and learned about people who lived in the time of George Washington.  I really, really, really liked going on that field trip.

Hannah's cake was Dora with good frosting.  Mom didn't make, she bought it.  We had fun!!

I went to DisneyWorld with my dad, DonDee, Caleb, Hannah, Grammy & Pop.  We flew down together.  Donald Duck was at my hotel.  In this picture I am saying "Quack! Quack!" just like a duck.  I loved the hotel.  I liked Andy's Room the best...everything was way big!

When we got to DisneyWorld, we had a great time!  When I saw the castle I said "Wow!"  I liked Space Mountain the best!  It was a cool roller coaster.  It was really fast.  It was like you were in space.  The rocket ride was also fun.  It went up and down.  I scared DonDee when I went up really high really fast.  She said to get down!  I tried to go up a little, but it went up too high.

I like the Red Power Ranger.  It was really fun to meet him and have my picture made.  This was at MGM Studios where we got to see behind the scenes at stunt tricks.  We watched a tanker truck explode really close to us.  It very hot when it was burning!  It seemed to get close to us, but then lots of water came and put out the fire and a little got on us.

Another favorite part of DisneyWorld was at Mickey's house.  We got to go to the tent and meet Mickey Mouse!  Mickey's house was cool.  We saw Pluto's doghouse and saw all Mickey's clothes and they were all the same!!

Here I am climbing on the chain at the playground at our hotel.  It was really fun to play there.  We could slide down really fast.  Our room was across from Buzz Lightyear - a three-story tall one!!  On the top of the roof, there were all the toy soliders around the edge.

I would love to go to DisneyWorld again sometimes!! It was fun!!!

I am going to Pennsylavania to see my mom for Chirstmas.  I love my Mom every single day when I am in Alabama for a long time.  I like when she sends me kisses on sticky notes from Pennsylavania.  I will be in Pennsylvania for a whole month.  I am excited to see Mammy, PawPaw, Elizabeth's family and Ridge.  Mammy sends me great toys when I am in Alabama. I am excited because I am writing a note for Christmas for them.  I know my Dad and DonDee and Caleb and Hannah will miss me while I am there.  I love my Mom!!! 

I love school!  I love to do Math every single day.  I love to learn new Math problems.  Mom is a good teacher.  Mom is the greatest teacher of all.  I love doing my Math box.  I love reading!  I know how to read.  I practice hard every day!  I do not like word problems on my Math worksheets.  I also like Handwriting.  The end.

My name is Garth and I am in the first grade.  I love Star Wars!   I love to play football outside and I like to swing on the swing set!!  I am very lucky to have two homes.  One is in Pennsylvania with my mom.  And the other is in Alabama with my Dad, and my stepmom DonDee, my brother Caleb, and my sister, Hannah.  I love when we have family time!  This blog is going to be about my days as a homeschool student.
