11.20.2009 Janie tagged me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
List twelve fictional characters that you love from any books, movies, etc., and then answer the following questions.
1. Joe Cartwright (from Bonanza)
2. Faramir (from Lord of the Rings)
3. Conseil (from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)
4. Professor Bhaer (from Little Women)
5. Susan (from Bringing Up Baby)
6. Jeff Smith (from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington)
7. Professor Aronnax (from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)
8. Lucy Ricardo (from I Love Lucy)
9. Peter Brady (from The Brady Bunch)
10. Jim Hawkins (from Treasure Island)
11. Algy Moncrieff (from The Importance of Being Earnest)
12. Linus (from the Peanuts)
************************************************************************************
1. Who would make a better college prof, 6 (Jeff) or 11 (Algy)? Um..... Mr. Smith. Algy would fall in love with one of his students.
2. 12 (Linus) sends 8 (Lucy) out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed? Okay, that is too weird. Linus's sister is Lucy, and he's sending another person named Lucy on a mission. Odd. Whatever the mission is, Lucy is probably going to turn it around and somehow get Linus to get her into Ricky's show.
3. What is or would be 9's (Peter) favorite book? I don't know. He doesn't read much.
4. For some reason, 5 (Susan) is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with 9 (Peter) or 10 (Jim)? She's a girl, so she shouldn't have a boy for a roommate. Well, Peter would definitely get on her nerves. I think she could have fun going on a crazy adventure with Jim, though.
5. 2 (Faramir), 7 (Aronnax), and 12 (Linus) have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss? Well, I don't know where they would go.... probably not seafood, because of Aronnax. Wow, what a great mix I've got here. They might have a very interesting conversation. What would most likely happen is Aronnax starts talking scientific-like, and Faramir and Linus are left without a clue. A monologue is what it would be more like.
6. 3 (Conseil) challenges 10 (Jim) to a duel. What happens? Well, both of them have indeed shot someone before... Jim would willingly accept and they would hold their pistols at each other and try to look like they were going to do something, but then they would go home.
7. If 1 (Joe) stole 8's (Lucy) most precious possession, how would she/he get it back? Lucy would work up a tricky little scheme that involved Fred and Ethel, and Joe would get into a fistfight with Fred, but then Joe's brothers would come and break up the fight.
9. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 (Bhaer) and 1 (Joe) to work together? Um... they could never work together. Bhaer is really sensible, and Joe is really impulsive. Joe would ruin whatever plot Bhaer had.
10. If 7 (Aronnax) visited you for the weekend, how would you get along? That would be really fun! He and I could talk about his big adventure on the Nautilus!
11. If you could command 1 (Joe) to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be? Um. None.
12. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11 (Algy)? Huh?
13. If 2 (Faramir) had to choose sides between 4 (Bhaer) and 5 (Susan), which would it be? Probably Bhaer.
14. What might 10 (Jim) shout while charging into battle? Something like "This is fun!"
15. If you chose a song to represent 8 (Lucy), which song would you choose? I Love Lucy theme song
16. 1 (Joe), 6 (Jeff), and 12 (Linus) are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it? Joe would, because Linus would be all sweet and let him have it.
17. What might be a good pick-up line for 2 (Faramir) to use on 10 (Jim)? What does that mean?
18. What would 5 (Susan) most likely be arrested for? Augh, she HAS been arrested before!
19. What is 6's (Jeff) secret? Uh....
20. If 11 (Algy) and 9 (Peter) were racing to a destination, who would get there first? Probably Peter, because he's springier!
21. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 (Aronnax) or 8 (Lucy)? Well, I wouldn't feel safe with either, but Aronnax, I guess.

11.20.2009 Like the pine trees lining the winding road, I've got a name, I've got a name........ Alex Wolaver sings the best ever!!!!!!!
Dadzy has today off of work!!! I hope we can go to Starbucks. :-) But I am not allowed to get hot tea there, because that would mean I was picking on one of my characters about something that I do, so that's why. Crazy hot tea drinkers. ;-) No offense to any of y'all who like hot tea, that's all right, I just......... nevermind. It's not that important. I'd have to be talking to y'all in person to explain.
I want FASA again! I'll go crazy if it doesn't come real soon. And this year, I am SO not going to be in third violin. Hrrrumph!
My life is so hard. ;-) I want a tag, but nobody tags me. Nobody in my house wants to see Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, which is the best movie ever made. Nobody like Jimmy Stewart except for me! *cries* There, that was my complaining for today. :-D ;-) >_< :-P :-)
Y'all know what font I REALLY like? My typewriter font. It's nifty. This is what it looks like.
Now I shall type the rest of the entry with this font. Has anyone read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea? It's so cool! I'm not done with it yet, but it's..... REALLY COOL. How could a book about a French professor, his.... person, who is so.... (YESH, I love Conseil!) and a Canadian harpooner with a bad attitude being taken prisoner onboard a submarine that can do all sorts of stuff, and the captain of the submarine is crazy or something and hates the human race for some insane reason, and will never set foot on land.... not be interesting? Wow, that sentence was just like some of those German verbs that the beginning goes at the beginning and then you throw in everything else you have to say in the middle of it, and then the end of the verb goes at the end.
So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, goodbye! *doodoodoodoodoodoodoodoo, doodoodoodoodoodoo*
One last note before I hit add entry... well, two last notes before I hit add new entry:
Somebody tag me
Bonanza has the coolest theme song ever!

11.16.2009 all right, fine
11.13.2009 I want the baby's name to be unique and euphonious. All right, Unique if it's a boy and Euphonious if it's a girl.
| Hi. Tropical storm Ida has been blowing through and brought a lot of rain. And now it's cold! brrr. I want to decorate for Christmas. Emma and I put up a little Christmas tree in our room and made lots of paper angels, even though it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Now it's lunch, I have to go bye. |

11.2.2009 How do y'all like my new template?
| My chat box has been removed until people can understand how to behave on it. And if you do behave, I'm not talking to you. And I'm not talking to you, Fasa buddy, that thing was a misunderstanding. |

[Hailey comes in dancing, holding a thick stack of papers and a red pen]
Hey y'all, guess what I just did for the first time? I finished my first real story! I'm sooo happy! It's actually just a short story, and the final word count is only 5,566 words, but that doesn't change anything, because it's finished and it's 18 pages long. (Random interruption: brackets look really cool. Just type them [brackets]. I mean, how could it get better?) Now I can finally begin the editing process. The story is now in the operating room and I'm cutting it up... with a red pen. I am really surprised at how much editing really needs to be done, and how many sentences and phrases and words just need to be taken out.
But I guess only some of y'all know what the story is. Well, here you go:
Title: Well, I don't really know what to call it, so I just call it Chloe.
Setting: Chloe's dream
Main Character: Sort of goes without saying...... her name's in the title
What it's about: It's Christmas Eve and a little girl has a dream where some very bizarre characters give her very bizarre gifts. And....... I can't say any more or else I would spoil the ending. It's sort of like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
I guess my whole description makes it sound sort of creepy, but it really isn't. I don't want creepy and weird. Weird is enough for me. It's funny, not scary.

People have been threatening me and posting comments in bad German unless I update. Taylor says she will capture Faramir and I dont' want her to do that to my poor widdle Faramir, so this counts as an update, haha.
Okay, maybe I should say something, so I will.....
I like reading dictionaries. |

10.17.2009 Cute Little Triangle Turned Up Noses!!!
Yola! Here arrives Taylor, Hailey's sister. I have broken into her account, because she broke into mine. So there. I will tell ya'll a story.
One day, when my sisters...Hailey, stop eating my popcorn!!!! *smacks her* ....anyway... when my sisters and I were going crazy in the car on the way back from Niagara Falls, we were going so nuts that Hailey got out the case to my Bonanza DVDs. She got out her doodling notebook and *smacks Hailey for stealing more popcorn* started tracing the Cartwrights. =/ It was special. Joe looked really foony. *smacks Hailey for grabbing me around the waist* *is about to watch Hailey take a bite out of a green bell pepper* *laughs* *gets back to the story* Well, anyways, when she finished drawing it, she looked at the one she did of Adam, and then the actual picture, and said, "Oh, he has a cute little triangle turned up nose!" And she has been going on about it ever since. She says I have one too. I'll try and get some scans of those doodles on my blog. Let's see, what else can I talk about? Um, I don't like frogs, and neither does Hailey. They are weird and scary because they they think they are my stepson and go off to college. SCARY.
Mooo.
God Bless You,
Taylor |

10.17.2009 Sweet Potato Fries
| Dadzy and I are finally doing something with the sweet potatoes we gleaned. We are making fries right now. Sweet potato fries. We made sort of a test batch, and Momsie says we should use flour and cinnamon sugar. Yum! |

I haven't logged in in awhile. I dread the thought of posting. But here I am. We went to the State Fair yesterday, and it was really fun. I still have my cotton candy and nobody else does, so I shall torture them with it. *feels slightly evil today*
[writing rant]
For y'all writers like me on HSB, do y'all ever get angry at your characters and blame it on them that there's a problem with the story? I'm doing that right now. With my story about the Madisons, I'm very frustrated with Alex Madison. I blame me being confused about how to say something on him, because he's supposed to say it. Is that weird? And before that, I got angry at Jeff Carswell, because I didn't know how to put something in that involved him. Is that too terribly weird? I don't really think so. :-)
And while I'm on the topic of writing, I might as well mention this. I'm writing two different stories right now. One of them is "Chloe's Peculiar Christmas Eve Adventure" (the title is eccentric because the story is) and the Madisons (which is going without title as of now). Chloe has 10 pages right now, and by the end, it will have no more than 13. So I guess you could say I'm nearly finished. And for the Madisons, I have around six pages and it will be a good deal longer than Chloe... perhaps 30 pages. When I started writing Chloe, I said I would finish it by the end of October. Then when I started writing the Madisons, I forgot about what I had said before, and said I would finish THAT one by the end of October. I don't think I can possibly finish both of those. I know, 33 pages seems like nothing for the rest of the month of October, but the Madisons story is a lot harder to write than I thought. Anyway, I am going to finish Chloe before I write another single word of the Madisons.

Today's been busy. After lunch, Taylor, Dadzy and I went out and ran a whole bunch of errands. So we stopped at Borders bookstore and got me a King James Bible with print big enough that I could actually read and an English-German/German-English dictionary thing. Then we went to Bath and Body shop to get Momsie new fragrance stuff for the house, and then to [a place I can't say because Dadzy was looking for something concerning Emma] to get a general idea of something. ;-) Off to Target to get Taylor some new headphones since hers broke, and look for Emma's birthday present. We didn't find anything for Emma, but I found an awesome '30s-Style hat. It's really cool! And while we were still at Target, we got cream sodas for ourselves. Then Dad had to go to Home Depot (Taylor and I stayed in the car) to get some blinds, but he didn't get them there, so he had to go back to Target. Then on the way home we stopped and gleaned some sweet potatoes. So we were almost home when we realized we couldn't come home without something for Emma, so we stopped at the grocery store and picked her up some peanuts and a Dr. Pepper. Now we're home. :-D
~Hailey~
Oops, I forgot to say, you can see my new hat in my avatar.
And another thing I forgot is Martha (thereadingmaid) awarded me! How sweet of you. :-)

10.6.2009 I just finished reading...
| I just finished reading the saddest book ever written. A Tale of Two Cities. I can't say why it is the saddest book ever written, because that would ruin the book for y'all. But my poor Syd! Poor widdle Sydney Carton. |

Nevermind, I'm not taking a break like I said. I just do not like updating my blog sometimes. I'll just chill out and relax about it.
It hurts to type. My fingertips on my left hand are all blistered and torn to shreds because I've been practicing my mandolin waaay too much, but I love it, so I don't mind blistering my fingers. |

9.28.2009 I'm back from Niagara Falls
AUGH, I AM GOING TO THROW MY COMPUTER OUT THE WINDOW OR STOMP IT INTO THE GROUND OR SET IT ON FIRE OR SOMETHING DRASTIC!!!!!! I just made up this big long entry, and the window got closed out before I clicked Add New Entry! Ich bin nicht glücklich. (I am not happy)
Okay, so we're back from Niagara Falls, we got back yesterday. The falls were just so awesome and scary and cool.... and AWESOME. I'm no good at describing, so I shall have to post pictures once Emma lets me have the camera. But anyway, these are all the "firsts" I had on the trip. There were actually more than these, but I'm shrinking the list for y'all's sake.
- First time in West Virginia
- First time in Pennsylvania
- First time in New York
- First time seeing a Great Lake
- First time at Niagara Falls (which goes without saying)
- First time in Canada
- First time being in a car for 13 hours all at once!!! O_o
AAAAHHHH, you know why I've gone crazy? Because in the 13 hours there and the 12 or so hours back I only watched I Love Lucy and Bonanza, and if you add together all the hours of Bonanza, it would add up to like 20 hours, so I have gone crazy!!!
But one good thing about that much Bonanza is that it caused me and Taylor (and Emma SOME) to write a crazy spastic play that has people stuck in Arkansas and they can't show up for a trial, Lassie attacking, poisoned icecream, and it's all because of a new iPhone that's always getting stolen. Two of the characters are named Jakum and Arkansas Pete. Cool, huh? What's really funny is that when we got back home and Taylee and I were still working on the play, Dadzy brought icecream (like the poisoned icecream in the play), our dog Hoover tackled me (like Lassie attacking), and Dadzy got a new computer monitor (like the new iPhone). Isn't that funny? I think it is.
I want to pack up everyone from FASA and take them home with me. Okay, not everyone from FASA, because I did not like SOME people from there, and I know 2 people who really didn't like ME, but that doesn't matter because I love everyone else, and I'm packing them up and sending them to me.
I'm hungry, goodbye.
WAIT, I'm not leaving yet. I must do a tag and tag my Janie/Elinor/Sam person.
1. What is....... nevermind, I'm not making a tag. Taylee wants me to finish the entry now, so goodbye now.

9.19.2009 :-) :-D ;-) :-P ;-P ;-D
Hello! My birthday is in two days! I'll be 13 very very soon. :-) My sister Emma just got me a DVD collection of season 2 of "I Love Lucy", one of my favorite shows ever! It's right up there with Bonanza. I don't know what Taylor's getting me. Wait, I just realized, I only really watch two shows. Bonanza and I Love Lucy. I watch The Brady Bunch and Little House on the Prairie, too.... and some Food Network, but I don't really watch many shows. But I love the shows I do watch.
Guess where my family's going Thursday! Here are hints....
1. It's way up north. Way, way, up north.
2. There's lots of water.
3. It's LOUD.
4. It starts with a Niagara and ends with a Falls!!!
5. Hooooorrraaayy!!!!!!
I'm so, so, so, excited, I can't explain!! :-) :-) :-)
Y'all have a wonderful day! Oh, and have y'all seen my pets on the sidebar? Their names are Goldenrod Trekker and Lavender Lilac Lula Love. :-) Aren't they..... creative? Haha. ;-) :-D :-P They'd love for you to feed them and play with them. And Lavender Lilac Lula Love would be ever so happy if you'd give her some purple flowers. :-) (If you haven't realized, purple is her favorite color.)

Hey, we just went to Chick-fil-a and got milkshakes, and then we played cowboys vs. orcs... the orcs had guns, too... and then watched Bonanza. Why do all of the Cartwrights' friends turn murderers?
