I have been tagged. What you do is fill the list up with fictional characters you love, and you'll see how the rest of it works.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. Thomas Jefferson Destry (from Destry Rides Again)
2. Jedidiah (from Night at the Museum)
3. Conseil (from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)
4. Jack Worthing (from The Importance of Being Earnest)
5. Opie (from The Andy Griffith Show)
6. Schroeder (from The Peanuts)
7. Arthur Clennam (from Little Dorrit)
8. Little Joe Cartwright (from Bonanza)
9. Andy Taylor (from The Andy Griffith Show)
10. Linus Van Pelt (from The Peanuts)
11. Roger Hamley (from Wives and Daughters)
12. John Jarndyce (from Bleak House)
13. Macaulay Connor (from The Philadelphia Story)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

1. 5 (Opie) writes a new book. What is the name of it? Ooooh boy..... "The Adventures of a Boy Growing Up in Mayberry"?????

2. 9 (Andy), 8 (Little Joe), and 13 (Connor) go out shopping. What do they buy? Those three guys?? What do they buy??? I dunno. The groceries.

3. 8 (Little Joe), 6 (Schroeder), and 1 (Destry), are talking. What are they talking about? Little Joe starts to say something, when Destry cuts in saying "I once knew a guy like that, Joe. He bought his wife an expensive piano when one day their house cought fire and the piano got destroyed." And as he goes on with the story, Schroeder is trying not to cry about the piano. Poor guy.

4. 5 (Opie) runs a track-and-field race against 10 (Linus). Who wins? How will the loser react? I think Opie would win by a sliver and then Linus would think that his blanket is a great comfort at times like these, because once he gets home and Lucy hears that he lost the race, she'll yell at him.

5. 3 (Conseil) wants to purchase one of 4's (Jack) crafted items. Which will he/she buy? What??

6. If you started a business, who would you hire? 7 (Arthur) or 2 (Jedidiah)? Oooh definitely Arthur! *swoons* I'm in yoff with Arthur and Jedidiah's too small to do much good.

7. 1 (Destry) challenges 6 (Schroeder) to a game of battleship. Does she/he accept? Why would Destry be playing battleship anyway? If he did want to, and if he did ask Schroeder, he probably wouldn't accept, because he had to practice or play baseball.

8. 5's (Opie) room is a mess. Who does he ask to help clean up? 3 (Conseil) or 8 (Joe)? Conseil. Conseil is a servant and he's used to doing what Aronnax tells him, and he's very cooperative and does stuff without complaining. Joe would rather die than clean someone's room.

9. 11 (Roger) invites you over to his house. Do you accept? OH YESH! I YOFF ROGER TOO!

10. 12 (Jarndyce) wants 4 (Jack) to come with him on an adventure. Jarndyce? Adventure? Jack? NO WAY.

11. 2 (Jedidiah) wants to go to the theater, but 13 (Connor) wants to go on vacation. Who will 8 (Little Joe) side with? Most likely Jed.

12. 9 (Andy) is running away from 10 (Linus). Why is she/he running? Ooooookay. . . Wow. Andy running from Linus? He wouldn't and couldn't.

13. If you are going through a mountain at night, who would you want for company? 1 (Destry) or 6 (Schroeder)? Destry

14. 3 (Conseil) wants to go out to dinner with 12 (Jarndyce) to a French resturaunt. What does she/he do? I don't exactly understand the question. Conseil wouldn't go to a French restaurant in the first place. He lives in France.

15. 8 (Little Joe) has just witnessed a battle. What is his/her reaction? No reaction, it's just a part of his everyday life. He shoots a few Paiutes probably, and then goes about his business. And the Sheriff can correct me if I'm wrong.

16. Who will 4 (Jack) take on his/her trip to the mountains? 8 (Little Joe) or 10 (Linus)? I don't think he would enjoy either of their company, but more likely Little Joe.

17. 10 (Linus) is learning a new language. What is it? Latin or Greek or Hebrew.

18. 8 (Little Joe), 9 (Andy) and 6 (Schroeder) all go out to a Chinese resturaunt. There is only one box of noodles left. Who gets it? Little Joe.

19. 5 (Opie) has to give an extra fun land ticket to 13 (Connor). Does he/she do it? What does that mean?

20. 13 (Connor) and 4 (Jack) are fighting. What happens? Golly, this is going to get interesting. I don't know what happens, but it would be interesting.

I tag anyone who has had the patience to read the whole tag

    Sorry I missed Christmas on my blog. Merry late Christmas, all y'all. *sad* Happy new decade! Now I've lived in three decades, ha. Momsie said the name for the past decade (like sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties, und so weiter) is the noughties. Nought as is zero, but it sounds like naughty. Kinda cute?

    I love January. I just do. The Sheriff's taking driver's ed in January. Go Andy! Sheriff's also getting a job in January. Go Andy! again. I forgot to say, I got my viola. I've told all my real life friends about it, but I haven't posted about it yet. 'Tis berry kewl. But I told the Sheriff that I wouldn't play it any more till her cello came, which is taking FOREVER. The viola was fun for the few days that I was allowed to play it. It's a 15½...... I wanted a 16, wah. I don't think a 16 would be too big, but........ well yesh.

    I got new icons. See them! They're from Wives and Daughters, one from the Rear Window, Bleak House, Bonanza, and one Little House on the Prairie. And Queen Emma made them all (except the Bonanza ones)........... I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to Royal Icons and getting some icons from her. She already has a wide selection of pre-made icons ranging from movies to animals to Australia to Starbucks.................. y'all get the picture. Lots of icons, and she can make custom icons too. Pleeease do me a favor and click HERE.

    "I Love Lucy" is a Desilu Production. Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz will be back next week at the same time! This is the CBS Television Network.

Ho ho ho?

Posted in Happenings

    The other day we turned on the TV and there was a certain Christmas movie playing. It was The Nightmare Before Christmas. At first I didn't know what to think of it, it was so strange. As the movie moved on, a skeleton-man captured Santa Claus and took the place of him. The skeleton had never heard of Christmas before, and he thought it was a wonderful thing, all about giving gifts and making kids happy. That was when my disapproval began. Our culture celebrates Christmas as a time of spending money and gifts and jingle bells, and that is the holiday that this movie was calling Christmas. Later on in the movie, the real Santa didn't come, and everybody was heartbroken. They were all miserable because "Christmas was not going to come" that year. I couldn't believe it. Is that where their joy comes from? Getting presents from a man who doesn't even exist? Not many people realize that Christmas is a time of celebrating the birth of Jesus, and He rescued us from death. It was the start of the most important event in history, and it is not something that happened so long ago that it has no effect on us today. Jesus's birth is just as important now as it was then! He is the one Who guides our lives, and His day has been corrupted as a commercial holiday. I know this is a deep analyzation for a cartoon, but its theme is one that is truly misleading and destructive. It reminds me of a verse in "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen":

Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy

Janie tagged me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted in Tag/Award

List twelve fictional characters that you love from any books, movies, etc., and then answer the following questions.

1. Joe Cartwright (from Bonanza)

2. Faramir (from Lord of the Rings)

3. Conseil (from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)

4. Professor Bhaer (from Little Women)

5. Susan (from Bringing Up Baby)

6. Jeff Smith (from Mr. Smith Goes to Washington)

7. Professor Aronnax (from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea)

8. Lucy Ricardo (from I Love Lucy)

9. Peter Brady (from The Brady Bunch)

10. Jim Hawkins (from Treasure Island)

11. Algy Moncrieff (from The Importance of Being Earnest)

12. Linus (from the Peanuts)

************************************************************************************
1. Who would make a better college prof, 6 (Jeff) or 11 (Algy)? Um..... Mr. Smith. Algy would fall in love with one of his students.

2. 12 (Linus) sends 8 (Lucy) out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed? Okay, that is too weird. Linus's sister is Lucy, and he's sending another person named Lucy on a mission. Odd. Whatever the mission is, Lucy is probably going to turn it around and somehow get Linus to get her into Ricky's show.

3. What is or would be 9's (Peter) favorite book? I don't know. He doesn't read much.

4. For some reason, 5 (Susan) is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with 9 (Peter) or 10 (Jim)? She's a girl, so she shouldn't have a boy for a roommate. Well, Peter would definitely get on her nerves. I think she could have fun going on a crazy adventure with Jim, though.

5. 2 (Faramir), 7 (Aronnax), and 12 (Linus) have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss? Well, I don't know where they would go.... probably not seafood, because of Aronnax. Wow, what a great mix I've got here. They might have a very interesting conversation. What would most likely happen is Aronnax starts talking scientific-like, and Faramir and Linus are left without a clue. A monologue is what it would be more like.

6. 3 (Conseil) challenges 10 (Jim) to a duel. What happens? Well, both of them have indeed shot someone before... Jim would willingly accept and they would hold their pistols at each other and try to look like they were going to do something, but then they would go home.

7. If 1 (Joe) stole 8's (Lucy) most precious possession, how would she/he get it back? Lucy would work up a tricky little scheme that involved Fred and Ethel, and Joe would get into a fistfight with Fred, but then Joe's brothers would come and break up the fight.

9. What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 (Bhaer) and 1 (Joe) to work together? Um... they could never work together. Bhaer is really sensible, and Joe is really impulsive. Joe would ruin whatever plot Bhaer had.

10. If 7 (Aronnax) visited you for the weekend, how would you get along? That would be really fun! He and I could talk about his big adventure on the Nautilus!

11. If you could command 1 (Joe) to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be? Um. None.

12. Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11 (Algy)? Huh?

13. If 2 (Faramir) had to choose sides between 4 (Bhaer) and 5 (Susan), which would it be? Probably Bhaer.

14. What might 10 (Jim) shout while charging into battle? Something like "This is fun!"

15. If you chose a song to represent 8 (Lucy), which song would you choose? I Love Lucy theme song

16. 1 (Joe), 6 (Jeff), and 12 (Linus) are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it? Joe would, because Linus would be all sweet and let him have it.

17. What might be a good pick-up line for 2 (Faramir) to use on 10 (Jim)? What does that mean?

18. What would 5 (Susan) most likely be arrested for? Augh, she HAS been arrested before!

19. What is 6's (Jeff) secret? Uh....

20. If 11 (Algy) and 9 (Peter) were racing to a destination, who would get there first? Probably Peter, because he's springier!

21. If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 (Aronnax) or 8 (Lucy)? Well, I wouldn't feel safe with either, but Aronnax, I guess.

********************************************************

That was the most fun tag I've ever done! I'll tag Kanga, Emma, Jessica, and anyone who has been in a car today.

Dadzy has today off of work!!! I hope we can go to Starbucks. :-) But I am not allowed to get hot tea there, because that would mean I was picking on one of my characters about something that I do, so that's why. Crazy hot tea drinkers. ;-) No offense to any of y'all who like hot tea, that's all right, I just......... nevermind. It's not that important. I'd have to be talking to y'all in person to explain.

    I want FASA again! I'll go crazy if it doesn't  come real soon. And this year, I am SO not going to be in third violin. Hrrrumph!

    My life is so hard. ;-) I want a tag, but nobody tags me. Nobody in my house wants to see Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, which is the best movie ever made. Nobody like Jimmy Stewart except for me! *cries* There, that was my complaining for today. :-D ;-) >_< :-P :-)

    Y'all know what font I REALLY like? My typewriter font. It's nifty.   This is what it looks like.

   Now I shall type the rest of the entry with this font. Has anyone read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea? It's so cool! I'm not done with it yet, but it's..... REALLY COOL. How could a book about a French professor, his.... person, who is so.... (YESH, I love Conseil!) and a Canadian harpooner with a bad attitude being taken prisoner onboard a submarine that can do all sorts of stuff, and the captain of the submarine is crazy or something and hates the human race for some insane reason, and will never set foot on land.... not be interesting? Wow, that sentence was just like some of those German verbs that the beginning goes at the beginning and then you throw in everything else you have to say in the middle of it, and then the end of the verb goes at the end.

    So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, goodbye! *doodoodoodoodoodoodoodoo, doodoodoodoodoodoo*

    One last note before I hit add entry... well, two last notes before I hit add new entry:

    Somebody tag me

    Bonanza has the coolest theme song ever!

    [Hailey comes in dancing, holding a thick stack of papers and a red pen]

    Hey y'all, guess what I just did for the first time? I finished my first real story! I'm sooo happy! It's actually just a short story, and the final word count is only 5,566 words, but that doesn't change anything, because it's finished and it's 18 pages long. (Random interruption: brackets look really cool. Just type them [brackets]. I mean, how could it get better?) Now I can finally begin the editing process. The story is now in the operating room and I'm cutting it up... with a red pen. I am really surprised at how much editing really needs to be done, and how many sentences and phrases and words just need to be taken out.

    But I guess only some of y'all know what the story is. Well, here you go:

    Title: Well, I don't really know what to call it, so I just call it Chloe.

    Setting: Chloe's dream

    Main Character: Sort of goes without saying...... her name's in the title

    What it's about: It's Christmas Eve and a little girl has a dream where some very bizarre characters give her very bizarre gifts. And....... I can't say any more or else I would spoil the ending. It's sort of like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

    I guess my whole description makes it sound sort of creepy, but it really isn't. I don't want creepy and weird. Weird is enough for me. It's funny, not scary.

Cute Little Triangle Turned Up Noses!!!

Posted in Random

Yola! Here arrives Taylor, Hailey's sister. I have broken into her account, because she broke into mine. So there. I will tell ya'll a story.

One day, when my sisters...Hailey, stop eating my popcorn!!!! *smacks her* ....anyway... when my sisters and I were going crazy in the car on the way back from Niagara Falls, we were going so nuts that Hailey got out the case to my Bonanza DVDs. She got out her doodling notebook and *smacks Hailey for stealing more popcorn* started tracing the Cartwrights. =/ It was special. Joe looked really foony. *smacks Hailey for grabbing me around the waist*  *is about to watch Hailey take a bite out of a green bell pepper* *laughs* *gets back to the story* Well, anyways, when she finished drawing it, she looked at the one she did of Adam, and then the actual picture, and said, "Oh, he has a cute little triangle turned up nose!" And she has been going on about it ever since. She says I have one too.  I'll try and get some scans of those doodles on my blog. Let's see, what else can I talk about? Um, I don't like frogs, and neither does Hailey. They are weird and scary because they they think they are my stepson and go off to college. SCARY.

Mooo.

God Bless You,

 Taylor

    I haven't logged in in awhile. I dread the thought of posting. But here I am. We went to the State Fair yesterday, and it was really fun. I still have my cotton candy and nobody else does, so I shall torture them with it. *feels slightly evil today*

    [writing rant]

    For y'all writers like me on HSB, do y'all ever get angry at your characters and blame it on them that there's a problem with the story? I'm doing that right now. With my story about the Madisons, I'm very frustrated with Alex Madison. I blame me being confused about how to say something on him, because he's supposed to say it. Is that weird? And before that, I got angry at Jeff Carswell, because I didn't know how to put something in that involved him. Is that too terribly weird? I don't really think so. :-)

    And while I'm on the topic of writing, I might as well mention this. I'm writing two different stories right now. One of them is "Chloe's Peculiar Christmas Eve Adventure" (the title is eccentric because the story is) and the Madisons (which is going without title as of now). Chloe has 10 pages right now, and by the end, it will have no more than 13. So I guess you could say I'm nearly finished. And for the Madisons, I have around six pages and it will be a good deal longer than Chloe... perhaps 30 pages. When I started writing Chloe, I said I would finish it by the end of October. Then when I started writing the Madisons, I forgot about what I had said before, and said I would finish THAT one by the end of October. I don't think I can possibly finish both of those. I know, 33 pages seems like nothing for the rest of the month of October, but the Madisons story is a lot harder to write than I thought. Anyway, I am going to finish Chloe before I write another single word of the Madisons.

Busy Day

Posted in Happenings

Today's been busy. After lunch, Taylor, Dadzy and I went out and ran a whole bunch of errands. So we stopped at Borders bookstore and got me a King James Bible with print big enough that I could actually read and an English-German/German-English dictionary thing. Then we went to Bath and Body shop to get Momsie new fragrance stuff for the house, and then to [a place I can't say because Dadzy was looking for something concerning Emma] to get a general idea of something. ;-) Off to Target to get Taylor some new headphones since hers broke, and look for Emma's birthday present. We didn't find anything for Emma, but I found an awesome '30s-Style hat. It's really cool! And while we were still at Target, we got cream sodas for ourselves. Then Dad had to go to Home Depot (Taylor and I stayed in the car) to get some blinds, but he didn't get them there, so he had to go back to Target. Then on the way home we stopped and gleaned some sweet potatoes. So we were almost home when we realized we couldn't come home without something for Emma, so we stopped at the grocery store and picked her up some peanuts and a Dr. Pepper. Now we're home. :-D

~Hailey~

Oops, I forgot to say, you can see my new hat in my avatar.

And another thing I forgot is Martha (thereadingmaid) awarded me! How sweet of you. :-)
