Welllll.... haha guess what day it is?? I'm so excited! I know it's just an age, but still, being sixteen is a big deal. You can do things you never did before... like drive cars, date, audition for American Idol... lol among other things.

  Today was a good day. I woke up early in my newly clean room (it feels great to have it clean again!) and lay in bed for a good half hour, reading. Then I decided to go up and make breakfast for the family- mm, pancakes!- and did some studying until about lunch time. 

Haha okay, so my mom was making my cake, which is an amazing concoction of cocoa powder, sugar, and cinnamon, among other things, haha. I was up in the shower and suddenly heard both my mom and my sister scream! So I dried off as quickly as I could, put on my robe, and came running to see what was wrong... As soon as I turned the corner, I almost choked on the cocoa powder still floating in the air! Mom was trying to open the stubborn container, pulled a bit too hard.... and bang! It exploded EVERYWHERE!!! Just when we thought we had cleaned it up, we would move something... and there was more cocoa! haha it's hilarious looking back at it but wasn't so funny at the time.. oh gosh! lolololol.

After lunch, Em and I went to show off our dancing skills for the ladies at the Pregnancy center. They're holding a Mother-Daughter abstinance rally the weekend after next, and wanted to see me dance. I dragged Em along to dance this Israeli Folk Dance with me that we both knew and they loved it so much that they've recruited us to dance a different one at the beginning of the Rally. I'm sooo excited! Yay!!!

Ooh, ooh, in other news... I'm going to camp!!!!!! WHOOHOO!!!!! haha. Not for REAL for real, but still. It's camp. I'm gonna be a junior staffer.. working in the kitchens... cleaning rooms... etc. Basically whatever I'm told to do. I and like seven other junior staffers will be doin it together... I'm excited:) It's gonna be great! I'll be gone from Friday to Saturday, so I'll be sure and tell you how it goes.

Lol anywho. After smelling the roast cook all day and that wonderful cake bake, I was RAVENOUS. So we literally stuffed ourselves at dinner... and then the best part of birthdays- the presents!!

I got a skein of yarn, a new notebook and pen, the book Breaking Dawn, AND Fiddler on the Roof! Awesome!!!

Haha okay so my dad's giving me the evil eye, so I gotta get off. But I'll write again soon! Sorry for neglecting so badly!!

weeelllll Aquire the fire was AWESOME SWEETNESS!!! I had SO much fun....

I also aquired a new friend... her name's Kate and she's 20 but she's amazing. Gave me some wonderful advice on life, and we cried together.... and laughed.... and hugged..... did all the emotional girly stuff girls do. :)

The first day was awesome. The speaker was absolutely hilarious! His name was Mike and he had all of us rolling on the floor... but then it turned serous. He read the story of the prodigal son, and then said that many of us are staying in the pig pen. We say, "Jesus, come to me, fill me, I'll wait right here." we don't want to forsake  the stuff of this world. we want both Jesus AND the pig pen, and there's no way that's going to work! Did the prodigal son sit in the pen and say, "Well, I'll let my father come to me?" NO! he RAN to his father, FELL WEEPING at his feet, saying I'M NOT WORTHY TO BE YOUR SON! and what did the father do? He FORGAVE the son, put a ring on his finger, sandals on his feet, and killed the fattened calf.   The moral of the story was: Are you sitting in your pig pen, still holding onto this world? or are you running after Jesus? You will trip and fall, yes, but the closer you get to Jesus, the more that pig pen will look like what it is.

Well, I started crying when I heard that. I realized that I had been sitting in my pig pen, holding tightly to the things of this world and waiting for God to drop grace on my head.  When Mike said "I want all of you who are tired of your pig pen and want to run after jesus to stand up and walk down to the front. Wether you have already accepted jesus, or haven't ever really thought about it, or are somewhere in between, I don't care. Just come up and kneel, and we'll pray together," I joined hundreds of my brothers and sisters in christ as I walked down to the front and kneeled.  

 It's not been easy. Satan has been pulling on me in a big way, but I'm not going to let him take me down. I need you guys to help me, though, and hold me accountable. I've made a commitment to jesus to spend 30 minutes or more a day reading his word, worsipping him, and praying... please hold me accountable for that! remind me every time you can, and reprove me when i forget...

Well, SO much more happened, but I have to wash the breakfast dishes now, so I'll come back and write more later.. GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!!!

Wow, I haven't written a full fledged entry in.. too long!
I've been SUPER busy lately, so that's really why I've only popped in a small message here and there..

and even now I have to make this one short. It's for a good reason... Tomorrow is Aquire the fire/flyleaf concert, and I have to pack.. ATF takes up most of tomorrow and all day saturday... I can't WAIT!!!!!
Plus my dad is going to worship team practice tonight, so I have to get off and eat supper with him.

BUT when I return from ATF I PROMISE I will tell you all about it in one long, detailed full fledged entry!!!!

I'm so happy today's gonna be a good day!!!!!
I get to see my friend Jonathan today, so I'm really excited about that, but also I get to go to YG tonite. We're going to a medical clinic run by a church in the springs, and we'll be helping there- you know, doing stuff like filing paperwork, counting harmless pills, praying for people, cleaning up, etc. It'll be a LOT of fun. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Plus, since I got my hair cut (I got twelve plus inches cut off... from the middle of my back up to my jaw line!) No one at YG has seen it, so I get to surprise them all!!!!!

It's gonna be great. I'm smiling right now thinking about it all!!!!!!

Weelll It's just a beeaauutiful day here in bubble bubble burg.. the sky is gray, fog is so thick you can hardly see, snow is blowing everywhere, and there is frost on all the trees... like I said, just Beautiful!

Anyway, Happy Easter! I hope your skies are blue, your grass is green, and your flowers are blooming!
